HENRY HOWARD HOLMES
The Life of H.H Holmes -aka- The Torture Doctor
- 1860- Herman Webster Mudgett was born in a small town of Gilmanton, New Hampshire
- As a child Mudgett was a scholarly student but had morbid tendencies such as setting a neighbor's cat on fire
- 1878- Mudgett attended the University of Michigan
- 1878- First marriage to Myrta Belknop
- 1885- Mudgett changed his name to Henry Howard Holmes
- 1888- Holmes worked in Chicago as a drugstore chemist
- 1891- Holmes sold the drugstore for a large fortune
- 1891- Holmes bought a big building and transformed it in to his
- 1896- Holmes was arrested after the murder of a confederate and later hanged on May 7, 1896 in Philadelphia
