It's amazing the effect words can have sometimes. They can make your emotions do a complete 180, and though you're perfectly fine one moment, you're nothing but a quivery/ing blob of jelly the next.

The Stable Marriage Problem (aka 50's style-dating):
There are an equal number of boys and girls who would like to date. Each person has a list of his/her preferences (ie Boy 1 likes Girls 3, 1, and 2 in that order). We do not want rogue couples, ie Sam with Pam who likes Tom better who also likes Pam more than his current match, Spam.
Every day each of the girls wait on their balconies for suitors, and the boys go to the highest girl on their lists. Each girl says "maybe" to the highest ranking boy of all who visit her on that day and "no" to all the others. The next day, the rejected boys go to the next highest on their list. Repeat this each day until there are no changes.
Thus, the girls are guaranteed on any certain day to have a boy at least as high on their list as the day before.
QUESTION: Which sex does this favor? (Meaning: maybe not first choice, but the best of all stable pairings?) Why?
I finally gathered up enough pluck to take my digicam around campus with me (I'm so paranoid about something happening to it) and took some pictures. (Note about the bear's ass: There was somone sitting in front of the bear, and I didn't have the heart to ask her to move, so I decided to just take a picture of the bruin bear's behind. As I was taking the picture, these two girls walked by and started laughing and saying things like "Did you see that???" about me. So I turned around, gave one of the girls a "look," turned back around, and went about my way, laughing to myself because naturally, I have the moral high ground in this case. :P ) Don't forget to look at my castle in the A Day in the Life album! It's too purty to resist!

I almost ran into the love of my life tonight in the dining halls! I'd just gotten those dried noodle thingies that I like to put on my salad when I turned around and saw one of the most gorgeous sites I'll ever see - a shoulder. So I looked up and up, and saw a guy. And WHAM!, I fell in love and almost bumped into him. *hums a lovey-dovey song*
*sigh* I think I'm in love. :P
Edit: Since an obscene amount of y'all actually think I'm serious about finding the love of my life in the dining halls, I thought I'd clear this up. I was merely JOKING and making fun of myself. I'm simply a superficial girl who wants a tall guy; thus, when confronted with a guy who is tall enough for me to see his shoulders (as opposed to his neck or head) when I'm looking straight ahead, I fell "in love." Capice? Good. Honestly, people, have you no faith in me? Think you my heart is swayed so easily?
Arrrgh. A friend is talking to me currently, and he's being REALLY annoying. Well, he used to be annoying before, too, but it's really starting to grate on my nerves. I don't have the heart to tell him to "Sod off!" either. *bangs head against wall*
Yay! I like my host muchly. I was having problems with installing Gallery, but I put in a support ticket and it turns out I just didn't chmod something correctly. :X It doesn't seem like much, but the scripts person offered to do a new install for me if I still had problems. I think I'm going to like my host. A lot.
Anyway, my gallery is back up. Doesn't contain much, but we'll see what I can dig up in my computer.
So here's a random and hopefully funny (but also embarassing) story: I woke up this morning and discovered that the bottom half of my retainers was no longer in my mouth. Then I remembered that sometime during the night I'd taken them out. I don't know exactly why, but I know that it had something to do with my dream at the moment.
After being shown my *scary face*, Yume said that I had a very scary scary face, which reminded me of the evil penguin, Feathers McGraw, in Wallace and Grommit. For those of you who have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm talking about, you are missing out on quality animation, and for those of you who do, is not Feathers absolutely diabolical and devious? I want to be just like him.
Gack. Fifth week is upon me. I can't believe I've been back at school for a whole month already. Pretty soon it'll be eighth week when I finally have a free week, and then it'll be finals week and another quarter will have gone by. Then it'll be another fast quarter, and half of my college career will have passed! How scary is that? :\
Anyhow, for the past few days I've been getting referrals from search engines searching for "bondage." I'm not very high up in the results, but it's kind of disturbing. I mean .. geez, I mention vegetable bondage once, and now I'm probably permanently listed in all the search engines.

I woke up this morning, and as I was proceeding to get out of bed I hit my knee against the corner of my desk. HARD. Not fun. It swelled up right away and turned into a white bump; right now the swelling's gone, but it's a black/blue-ish bruised color. Oddly enough, it doesn't hurt yet.
Anyhoo, I had to completely reinstall MT because my new and old hosts use different versions of Berkeley DB. Or something like that. Anyhow, I didn't want to start blogging until February started, to make a clean break in my archives. So sue me for being anal like that.
