I used to work with senior citizen at the Army Resident Community in San
Antonio. I had lot of friends there co-worker and resident one of my
favorite resident was Mr. Carl Weinmeister he is was a very nice guy, my mom
work for him too and he had a good close friend live in the same block as he is
name Mrs. Gillespie. Mr. Weinmeister was very helpful to me, at that time
I don’t know much about computer, I bought a computer and don’t really know
how to use it and how to connect to internet and he was the one who concern
about my problem, he call MSN tech support and find out about my problem, he
didn’t know a lot about computer himself but at lease he got the number to the
right place for me to call to get help and solved my problem, he also went to
the best buy store with me and help me talk to technician to solve my problem
for my computer, I still remember when he was in the car with me!. I went
to see him couple of times at his apartment just to hang out and help him type
something from the book into his computer. Year 2000 sometime in around
august he commit suicide by jump off from the 6th floor from his room 624 early
in the morning, he suffer the pain for at least 3-4 hours before he died, by the
time ER came he was barely breathing “he was dying” he died just before he
get to the hospital. I don’t know much of the detail about him, but I
know he went to war, he suffer a bad headache for long time and his family
barely come to visit him and he was so lonesome. My mom was crying of
pitying him, but nothing that we can do about. Every was ok and back to
normal for a month Mrs. Gillespie was doing fine I went to visit her at her
house couple of times to check on her, she shown me Mr. Weinmister picture when
he was young and her pictures also. Mrs. Gillespie was a very nice lady
and I also respect her like Mr. Weinmister and try to help her as much as I
could in the dinning room. Once day I was out side I was walking back in
from delivery and I saw her just parked her car, so I stop and talk with her for
a while, suddenly! some black bird floe by in the sky above us and cry like
twice, she look up and said oh look at that bird (she told me the name of the
bird and I don’t remember) it is the bird of death it come to pick up someone
and something bad will happen to some and someone will die (I don’t know
exactly what she told me but something like that) I just say “oh really” I
change the subject and talk to her for a little bit after that and said that I
have to go back in, so I went back in work throughout the day and went home
after work. The next morning I came to work and the next thing I know was
she passed away! I was shocked that all I can say.
