There’s always been this special bond
Between a little boy and his mother
I know if I could have picked any boy out
For me, there would have been no other.
You’ve brought so much joy into my life
Of that there is no doubt
The chilly day that you were born
My heart, it gave a shout.
In times of pain, like when you moved
To a place so far far away
My thoughts they never strayed from you.
I prayed for you day by day.
When you were just a little tot
Running here and there
You were always in to everything
Sometimes you gave me quite a scare
And now you’ve changed into a man
Of which… I can be proud
But you’ll always be my… “little” boy
This I’ll proclaim to the world very loud.
But now that you’re grown, the days seem so long
How I wish you could be little again
But then I take time to think, I can’t complain
You’re turned from “little boy” into a friend.
Now as you grow older, with each passing day
You may want to take you a wife
Just be sure my son to treat her with kindness,
And you'll have much joy in your life.
No matter what happens, what changes time brings
You'll always be my own darling boy
One day you may have, a son in your life
Who'll fill all your days with such joy.
But the bond won't be broken, this I know is true
For the depth of my love's like no other
And for me you will always be my dear little boy
And I'll always be your Loving Mother.
