Here is Buddy's story as written by his rescuer

June 15, 2000

Hi I am Bonnie Ross, I  have never been on here before, I do nothing but rescue weims,
would one day like a show dog, but my calling is with the throw away's.

I am here to let you know about the Angel sent to me this week.  I see Bob has forward his photos.

Well here is his story.  His name is Buddy, My vet says he is about four years old, He is blind from the sun
baking on his eyes while he was laying in the back yard of his abusers.

He was found laying at the end of the driveway of his
abusers, by a lady. She called Animal Control and they picked him up. They dropped him off at my vets and my vet called me to come take a look at him and see if we would take him in rescue.

I went in and got sick to my stomach, and still
am. Of course I will take him in rescue not only
that but this baby has a new home.  Why would I keep him?  Try placing a blind dog that will most likely have special needs the rest of his life. No creature on Gods earth deserves this kind
of treatment. And not many would take him.

The abusers say he is seven years old, My vet say by the teeth he is only four.  The abusers told Animal Control, that he belonged to their son
and they told him to put the dog down a month ago.
My vet says this went on for three months.
They are being Prosecuted and I will be there
.
 If you wish
to send donations to help this special guy, sent it
directly to the Vets office under Weimaraner Rescue at:

Wickham Rd Animal Hospital,

345 Wickham Rd.
Melbourne Florida, 32904.

He will be at the vets for quite some time,
He can only keep down liquids because his stomach
does not know what to do with food.
When they finish with him, and he is well enough to leave the vets he will come to me.  I don't
know what else to say except thank you for your help, and we can use it in the future.

I  have a four year old female rescue here that just went through phase one of Heart-worm treatment.

Thanks again and God Bless all
Bonnie Ross
