Subject: LAKE CITY WORK RELEASE

Hi Kay,
Just wanted to touch base with you.
You know at first I really thought the DOC was retaliating
against my son because of the action I filed against the DOC
by sending him to Lake City Work Release, which is 200 miles
away.
Work Release is supposed to help rebuild family ties and help
the inmate get a job and KEEP that job. Well, this can't
happen 200 miles away, but this is another issue that I may
pursue later.
Anyway, I don't think they are retaliating, as Matt also told me others were
shipped to locations far from their home communities. It
doesn't make a lot of sense, as so many things about the DOC,
but the transfer so far from home doesn't appear to be
retaliation.
Matt says the 
staff at Lake City Work Release is
very professional!! He likes it there!! Just
wanted to let you know what was going on!!
