You stupid bitch!!! Not all these poor unfortunate souls are the victims you make them out to be.
For instance one of the victims of a prejudice judicial system you have listed just recieved an additional 30 years or so for his role in a disturbance which resulted in a female officer losing her unborn child. I am sure he left that out though you ignorant cunt.
Another one of the fine gentlemen is imprisoned for raping a senior citizen but it had to be a conspiracy, right?
Anytime you wish to make a real change in the system take your stupid ass down to your local correctional facility and APPLY. We would welcome you to any shift and as soon as one of these pieces of shit starts "gunning" you down you be sure to take him by the hand and listen to his bullshit story of how his moomy did not love him and that is what caused his intense hatred for women.
Or you can walk down a wing in confinement and one of these upstanding citizens can throw some urine or feces at you and you just stand there and assure him that it must be the fault of the administration that he had his grandmother smuggle drugs into the facility to pay off a debt which landed his ass in confinement. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and the fact that these CAREER criminals can manipulate you this way is evidence enough of your complete ignorance of the FACT.
My name is one that you have on your little sight there and anytime you wish towalk a mile in my shoes come get you some. What I think is that you will continue to sit on your stupid ass and talk about a subject of which you have no knowledge.
By the way, I think I will start to post on the web just how many of these inmates are engaged in homosexual activity, spreading disease throughout the population and then kissing thier wives and children on the mouth every weekend during thier visit and crying about how the administration is mistreating them.
You people need to get a clue and just come on down to the nearest correctional facility and take a tour. If what you see is what is being described I would be happy to kiss your fat ass on Television BUT IT WONT.
Anyway I know you will probably just sit back and giggle about this and that is fine. I am satisfied enough to know that I am right and you are ignorant. Have an nice day YOU STUPID CUNT!!!!!!!!
TO REITERATE ONE MORE TIME:
"Pamela", like so many, has misunderstood my mission. Or perhaps not...
My thoughts on prisoners:
1. They are not all guilty, neither are they all innocent.
2. Abuse and pepperspray are not effective nor acceptable treatments for mental illness.
3. Non-violent people should not be exposed to the conditions of mass incarceration.
4. They are not all 'lying inmates'.
5. They are all human beings, not animals. My thoughts on guards:
1. They are not all guilty, neither are they totally innocent if they hide the guilt of others.
2. They have too much autonomous power.
3. Professionalism and the uniform should, but don't, go hand in hand.
4. The Law must apply to prison guards too because...
5. Even errant guards are human beings, not animals, despite their behavior.
My thoughts on prisons:
1. Prisons are probably necessary but for public safety should be places of great healing.
2. Prisons should be places of 'rehabilitation', as well as 'correction'.
3. Prisons should prepare prisoners for reintegration.
4. Prisons should seek out and eliminate criminals in uniform.
"When a prisoner is wrong, stand up to him. When a prisoner is right, stand up for him.
And NEVER give a prisoner a bum rap."

By the way I am the "Sgt. Harddrop" that convicted felon Mendoza cried to you that "harrassed" him. Please correct this inacuracy and like I said before if you have any questions I will answer them truthfully. I am done with the name calling as it is counter productive and looking back I owe nobody anything in the Department anymore, but thats my business. As a matter of fact I am currently looking into another profession as I have become disenchanted with the prison system as run by the state.
Again please remove my wifes name from your sight and feel free to ask me anything you want. I will tell you the truth to the best of my knowledge whether you like the true answer or not. I have come to realize that the Florida DOC is an antiquated system that really does need change.
Anyway please do me that one favor and I would look forward to answering any questions you may have of me. I have recently seen the true colors of members of my administration and as I said before I dont owe anyone anything.
Thanks,
James Allen Hartopp
Hello James. It's good to hear from you. I posted the 'Pamela' email exactly as it arrived in my inbox. I don't know anything more than that about the writer of the email. I cannot change the email or it will not be exactly as I received it. I could put your enclosed email on the page with the letter so that you can tell others yourself that it isn't your wife's.
Please understand that I do not want to 'coddle' criminals. My attention is in on the 'errant' guards and good 'correctional' officers, who I believe can help the public to force the authorities (like Michael Moore) to clean up the Florida system and get rid of the unprofessionals. You know Moore has a terrible reputation in South Carolina and Texas?I would be more than happy to lobby for raises, benefits, and better working conditions for C/Os, if we could just get rid of the bad apples that are ruining the names of good staff. But that will takes a lot of help and honesty from good employees and caring human beings.I do have a question: What percentage of staff are 'guards' and what percent are 'correctional' officers? Or does it vary greatly from prison to prison? In good faith,Kay Lee
I have an answer to your question. It may not be exactly what you are looking for but it is honest. I dont have an exact percentage, but I will tell you this... If ther is one thing that is common between inmates and officers it is our combined unwillingness to accept change.
I consider myself to be very good at what I do and if you were to ask the inmates in my dorm the majority would rather have me than most any other sergeant. What you might consider to be a good officer and what I would consider may be different. I will tell you what I think one is and you compare ot to your definition.
I, and the officers who work for me, first and foremost, understand that we are employed by the Department of Corrections. Our mission, regardless of that yearbook s*** they try to serve us up, is to "correct" inmates when they are wrong. My favorite way is to counsel verbally. I have found a method that achieves maximum results from minimum effort. I have found that speaking to an inmate in a language he can understand and identify with gains a great deal of respect.
If there is one thing that I and many others hate about our job it is putting our hands on someone. It is not worth the aggravation and the mountain of paperwork involved. I also have found that answering an inmate questions and allowing them to do thier time makes my job easier.
I have a rule that supercedes any and all Department rules and I stick to it and expect the inmates to closely adhere to. My rule is "Act right and be treated right." There is also a couple of rules that I expect my officers to follow. "Give them what they need, dont take no s***, and if you have any problem you call me first."
I have a good rapport with the inmates at Columbia and have a great reputation as the textbook definition of "firm, but fair."
To answer your question, the minority of staff like me are usually cleaning up the mess of the majority of people who could care less and just want an easy paycheck. There are fewer professionals than ther are "8 and the gate." The biggest problem is in Tallahassee and I cant wait for the opprtunity to vote out his boss.
Thanks,
James Allen Hartopp
