Why is it when a guard is sick they can prolong or make arrangements for them, and when a this happens to an inmate oh well??? I work with two people that have sleep disorders, we just make provisions for him -- so why can't he stand trial?? My daughter was on dialysis for 3 years, was a single Mom, took care of two children, her home, cooked, went to school functions. She was just a little tired after dialysis for a few hours, so she went early in the morning and took a nap while the kids were in school -- this is no excuse either -- I have no sympathy for these guys, they are murderers and need to go to trial, like everyone else. Even more so, they should know the rules. I got your e-mail address from the news article in Sunday 10 21 Miami Herald "Jury selection a chore in prison guards' trail. I can give you names of guards bringing drugs into a prison. Is this legal? Do they get away with it? Yes they do. What happens to the inmates that take them?? Do you want another story? DOC says this isn't being done-- Hundreds of inmates are liars??

...AND their families, reformers, ex-guards, and current DOC staff who say things go on in prison that shouldn't? Give us a break! kl

Barry Johnson can not be in the Reserves or National Guard with a
record. If you write the Adjacent General at his base or his boss in
the Reserves he will go to jail for a long time..

   Well, if he is on probation what is he doing in prison..

And the People Who Protected Him!

I want an explanation! Is this man in prison or not? For those who haven't read "LOVER BOY" yet, this man, Barry Neal Johnson, is an ex-guard still possibly being protected by the system, even though he is a proven criminal and if he is not in prison, his 'SUSPENSE' sentence proves everything we've been telling the FBI and the Justice Department: Florida is running it's system for the protection of its own! Guards ARE getting away with murder and everything else, no matter what the Valdes trial turns up! There is NOT equal justice for all in Florida (nor I suspect, any where else in this country at this time)!

Barry Neal Johnson has been a guard at River Junction WC in Florida, as well as a possibly crooked-with-the-guns weekend warrior
(National Guardsman), possibly involved with a trunk load of illegal steroids in his by now infamous car. He was an
alleged snitch for the FBI, he is a child-sex offender. He was reportedly caught in the front seat of his car with a child underage
teaching her how to perform oral sex. One of two DOC pages that were first put up says SENTENCE "SUSPENSE". What the heck does that mean... And "Community"? What
are these things?

I have hundreds of prisoners guilty of less doing many times the hard time. Who decided this sentence? Who is protecting this man
and why?   Unbelievable! and unforgivable if we should let this lie there and die!

Wearing the uniform of the DOC has ensured him a punishment a fraction of what happens to other 'sex offenders', leaving him free
to carry on his sexual escapades, which seem to be very important to him. He is serving, according to the DOC website, less than three
years - on probation for crying out loud! Under the embrace of 'brothers' of the very system that has refused to sentence him or
any other guard to serve their fair time in the same environment their prisoners have to live in.

This man is REPEATEDLY criminal, even on his jobs, and yet appears to be protected! This to me is an inexcusable outrage! This should make every parent, every "sex offender" doing hard time, every human being disturbed and angry enough to make a phone call to the governor. It should definitely point out what we've been telling you all along: Criminals do sometimes wear uniforms, and when they commit a crime under the color of law, they are slapped on the wrist and sent
on their way!

I ask you, is this really fair? Do you think your child will think Barry Neal Johnson's sentence is enough to protect her should she
become his next student? Do you think the sentence is enough to teach Barry Johnson not to do these things? Pardon me, but - Ha!

I am not out to destroy this man nor any other...but if we are to be just, his punishment should match that of all others who have
committed the crime of bringing children into the taboo area of adult sex. Or all other people committing this crime should have the same opportunities as Mr. Johnson. Has someone asked the little girl and her mother what they think of this? And IS Barry Neil Johnson in prison or NOT?
