THE TEN COMMANDMENTS        

   ( SING TO THE TUNE OF PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM!)

Write Them!  Moses! All of the first commandments.

There were ten God gave to the Israelites.

First One!  First One! Have no other god before me.

Make no idols, I'm jealous and it's not right.

That's the second, then the third one follows,

Never take the Father's Holy Name in vain.

Fourth One!  Fourth One!  Remember the holy sabboth.

Work not!  Work not! Just rest your weary brain.

Write Them!  Moses! All of the Ten Commandments,

Given by God on big Mt. Sinai.

Fifth One!  Fifth One!  Honor thy father and mother.

It is a law that came from the one on high.

Do not murder, is the sixth commandment,

Seven is do not commit adultery.

Eighth One!  Eighth One! Tells us it's wrong to steal,

Open!  Open! Your eyes and truly see.

Read Them!  Moses!  All of the Ten Commandments,

Given by God for all the Israelites.

Ninth One!  Ninth One! Don't lie about your neighbor,

It is wrong and could start a ugly fight.

Then the tenth one, you shall not covet,

Anything that is not your own.

Teach Them!  Moses!  All of God's Holy Commandments,

Heed Them! Moses! The laws of the Lord are known.
