IN MY PLACE
Within my finite but private world,
Inside my most cluttered-filled mind,
I withdraw there morning and night,
In hopes of my precious Lord, to find!
It's there where I can seek comfort, It's there where my Father can hear, Where I, in faith, can sincerely ask, For Him to remove all doubt and fear. It's there where I can tell Him, Of the gratefulness in my heart, For all the generous blessings He gives, And the peacefulness He imparts! It's there that I can humble myself, And confess my many faults and sins, Where I can get total forgiveness, And be whole and pure once again! In this now serene and solemn place, I can revere His Most Holy Name, And praise His awesome greatness, And His mercy that's always the same. It's here that I can tell the secrets, And petition my Father above, To help those who have confided in me, With His compassion and tender love.
When I leave this now blissful place, Where I communed with the God of us all, I leave with confidence and peace, Knowing He is there to catch me if I fall! Rozita D.Martin copyrighted 3/04/2001 PLEASE RESPECT THE COPYRIGHT
