Bigfoot #5

BIGFOOT 5 was completed in the summer of 1986 for the sole purpose of handling 10 foot tall Firestone Tundra tires. Before they were permanently installed on BIGFOOT 5, they had been used by BIGFOOT 1, 2, & 4. Its first show was the Fall Jamboree in Indy where it donned dual 10' tires, making it the tallest, widest and heaviest pickup in the world! Photo on left taken in 1986.

1996 F250 FORD Pickup, originally fabricated and assembled BIGFOOT 4X4, Inc., in St. Louis, Missouri in 1986

ENGINE:

460 CI FORD, with a 671 BDS blower, 2 Predator carburetors, Isky Cams, MSD ignition, K&N air filters, Mr. Gasket gaskets and System 1 oil filters

TRANSMISSION:

FORD C6 automatic with Hurst shifter, a TCI race converter and a 3 to 1 chain drive to a 5 ton military transfer case

AXLES:

5 ton military with planetaries and Detroit lockers by Dyneer

16 Trailmaster BIGFOOT Signature Series Shocks

TIRES:

120x48x68 Firestone Alaska Tundra Tires with aluminum wheels, weighing approx. 2400 lbs. each.
