General FAQ

 

What is the sense of the QCM missions?

Quick and simple missions , for most players to host and  to increase their skills.

And for sure a lot of fun.

This missions should increase the skills of "Rotten tactic" and "Schwarm tactic".

You do not need any explaining for any tactic here.

Pages enough posted where you can find great explaining.

With our missions you get the easy and quick way to practice it.

 

Why should this missions used in "FULL REALISM" mode?

Cause of the enhanced pilot responsibility.

Its much harder to protect your leader or wingman.#

Every wrong choose tactic will kill you.

Except you are a lucky boy.

Also it may more sense cause of the fact that with padlock pilots can

hide them self in clouds or over woods.

It would not be able to flee or to break a fight.

Enemy pilot would be able to track you every time.

 

That means all mission are based on "as it was"?

Yep,....this missions are based on the fact that pilots in WW2 haven't radar or

similar stuff.

Only the ground control gave them some information.

When we send a craft for a sweep it means sweep.

On the target area he have to stay till he have contact or his "red lamp" calls him back.

This software is a simulation.

Now we simulate the past.

Act like pilots in WW2 have act.

 

Where i can use the QCM missions?

Usually in Hyper Lobby or same kind of playing zones.

 

How i should announce the missions?

How ever you mind.

But it would be great when you use the "QCM ...." as singe of our missions.

 

What do i need for using QCM missions?

The last version of Il-2 Sturmovik software.

Patches you will find here.

 

How i can use the QCM missions?

All missions are created for "online" gaming.

But you can use it also as "offline" mission.

For that you have to start a server game from your Il-2 menu and create new server.

Load that mission and use it in same kind as "online".

 

What kind of missions are included?

A sample of different combats like

Sweep,

Escort,

Intercept,

Ground support

Ground attack.

 

Or a mixture out of this missions.

Not every mission included only one kind of them.

OKL escort brings VVs intercept, or VVs ground attack could have OKL intercept.

 

Can I edit the QCM missions?

Sure,... but keep in mind that the original QCM mission have their own character of combat

And you should delete all QCM text and url in briefing if you change it

 

How often will QCM org. update the  missions?

Usually one time in week we will update a sample of missions.

We hope that some pilots will upload their files to increase the mount of QCM files.

 

Is their a point system for winning loosing QCM missions?

No.

We create this mission for the pleasure and fun of pilots.

Squad can use it for practice and non registered pilots in VEF or IOW can may now

their own coop mission in style of VEF or IOW.

Why are only so small amount of pilots?

Great amount of online pilots make always troubles with connecting and brings usually

warping into the game.

Also the combat starts with 2 crafts again 2 crafts.

A lot of work for everyone.

 

 

Why all flyable crafts split into "Rotten" size?

Two crafts have build the smallest unit for the WW2 combat.

A schwarm is made out of two Rotten.

But the Rotten are different units who working together.

All our missions are build in this scheme.

 

Why the missions have "Average Combat Altitude"?

As we have seen in VEF missions most pilots do not stay on their waypoints or

keeping certain altitude.

Our altitude for combat is developed in relationship of their kind of mission.

Example,..for intercepting Il-2 its not needed to climb over 4000meters.

Cause this we gave the pilots a "Average Combat Alt".

The "+-" give the pilots the usually space where they have to be.

 

What means "reachable targets"?

Depend on the rules of QCM missions we hide most missions target.

A pilot have couldn't know exactly what comes in his next combat.

For this we hide the targets that he can reach easily.

"RED win" or "Blue win" message tells only that one target have reached first.

If you are as escort and the enemy got order to destroy 50% of bombers he will

not see this in briefing.

If he reach the target point he will get message from software.

 

What means different development levels?

This shows only the amount of AI crafts and ground objects.

For players with weak connecting of pc would this helpful to know

how many surrounding objects he have to host.

 

there are 4 levels

without +--> no ground object and AI crafts

with "+" ---> only one or two AI Rotten

with "++"--> like above but with one or two ground objects

with "+++"-> like above but with more AI or ground objects.

 

This rules are also for mission developers who want upload their files by us.

 

What is multi target missions?

This missions included more than one target.

Example....in escort the primary target is defend the bombers.

The second could be to destroy more than 50% of engaging enemies.

 

What means enhanced pilot responsibility?

That is the key point for the most missions.

Not only one mission will be created as head to head conflict.

That means that the pilots squads do not automatically meet their.

Usually the need some minutes to find their targets.

The time when squads will reach their combat area have different up to 3 minutes.

 

Example,..... a Rotte have a sweep in a certain area.

They reach that area at 08.30.

They have to stay in this area till the get contact to enemies.

This must not are first the other pilots.

That could be also a AI squad.

The responsibility on the pilots is to realize what's happen and to certain when and

what the have to engage.

Installing/ Download

 

 

How i can install and use the QCM missions?

  • Go to your Il-2 main folder, open "missions/ net/ coop/-.

  • Create new folder named "QCM".

  • download all missions in any temp. folder or usually into "unzip" folder under windows C:/.

  • copy and past items of the downloaded and unzipped folder and past it into the new "QCM" folder.

  • with this files you will find a txt.file named "HOST FILE". open it and may a link to your desktop. This txt.file gives you the  "mission number #", "mission announcing", "url" for briefings and information about crafts and amount of online pilots.

  • host a game in Hyper Lobby and post the missions announcing for the QCM mission.

  • if all slots filled up with pilots show them the url for briefing.

  • enter the mission #nr. for the mission that u will host.

  • after all pilots have read mission briefing start the game and have fun :-)

 

How many pilots can i host for missions?

Depend of the missions we use only following amount of pilots.

2 vs 2 - host for 4 pilots

4 vs 4 - host for 8 pilots

6 vs 6 - host for 12 pilots

X vs X - host up to 16 pilots.

 

You will find this in the "HOST FILE" txt.file.

This missions are for week connection created.

But every mission included also a lot of Ai crafts.

 

How strong must be the connection/ PC of host for QCM missions?

We use general maps of Il-2 Sturmovik software.

Most missions have ground objects and AI crafts.( Airfields )

Weather effects are only "clear, hazy or bad".

Amount of AAA, ground objects, and AI crafts are dense.

This should guarantee that all players can host the QCM missions.
