Hey folks,
OK, so I kinda got bored with the whole web and computer thing for a while. I got some cool programs or animation but my computer is not up to snuff and I have been dealing with a friend of the family who is going through some issues. But now I am back and ready to get it all together.
1st up. Nice recovery of those miners in Pennsylvannia wasn't it. Very cool to see people come together and get that kind of result. I was thinking there was no way those guys would all be ok. Very cool.
What else.
Oh man, a buddy of mine and his wife just moved back next door to me and they have kids, a boy 6 and a girl 11 [ i think]. Anyway, I have been here maybe 8 years and I have got it where no kids play around my house, no neighbors are loud outside my house, no teenage punks drag their cars on my block, and basically everyone leaving me the hell alone. Thhis is good, right. So, then come my buddy, his wife and kids. Now, I get along real well with kids. I love kids but that's probably because after a few hours of playing I can go away. I don't have to deal with the questions that parents have to, no "why this", "why that" stuff. So when i go to friends houses or family stuff, I can play and leave. All over now.
Marcy is like the "kool aid" mom. She watches her kids real close [which is cool these days] but that means the kids can only play in the yard which is right next to my yard [ our yards combine kinda].
Now her kids love me [ which is cool] but I got it down to my friends knowing to never just show up at my door and knocking unexpectedly but now when I open my door I got my neighbors kids and all the kids in the neighborhood staring me in the face. If it was just my buddies kids, that would be fine. But I made the mistake of playing with them all and teaching them some new yard games and how to properly throw the balls and such. So now when I walk out my door, I get a barrage of "Hey Jim, Hello Jim, how are you jim?" Which I realize is nice and i shouldn't bitch but honestly I am rather misanthropic and I missed my chance to have kids so I guess I have just become too accustomed to my little cave.
Whatever.
Anyway, oh on this topic, kinda, anyway. What the hell is going on with these kidnappings and the news coverage of it. I mean it is a terrible thing to hurt a kid like that and i am not saying they shouldn't report it but they make it sound like everyone should be acting like this weeks "South Park" episode.
Marcy is freaked over it. She is already way protective of her kids and keeping their "innocence" and all, which is cool. But she is a little more worried about someone swiping her kids than she should be.
I mean we got what, 300 million people in America? And out of that 100 or so kids are abducted by someone other than one of the parents. Now math isn't my thing but 100 out of 300,000,000 seems to be a small percentage. I mean, yeah, keep an eye on your kids [mostly for other reasons -{ie.} falling on their head and stuff} but don't stress over someone taking your kid when the odds are hihger than the lotto. I don't know, I guess since I don't have kids i can't talk.
Ok what else.
Oh man, do you like blues and jazz? Have you heard Norah Jones? Well turn your speakers on because "The Long Day is Over" is on right now. She is also the music artist of the week and i put her single, "Don't Know Why" on that page. BTW, I will be adding a ton of recommended artists and movies and books now. i am gonna revamp the site a bunch and get all my links up so I can use this as my start page and not have to deal with "favorites" mess in explorer. i like netscape better but the damn thing crashes more than I did when I was in high school.
Oh hey, check this out. Iceberg
This was sent to me by a friend [she didn't take it] who said that whatever company was moving or working near the iceberg took it. She said it wa one shot but I think no way. I don't see how they could have taken a picture above and below the water at the same time. What do you think?
Ok I gotta go get lunch. See ya.

Well folks, I just watched the movie, "Angel Eyes" with jennifer lopez and I have to say it was actually pretty good. I might be wrong but wasn't this movie advertised as some kind of supernatural crime thriller? Thats what I got from the promos and trailers anyway. But it was a nive love story. Had good depth. Credible acting. Strong story and some touching emotional moments. The pace was a little slow but lended itself to the inner turmoils of the 2 main characters. The ending could have been a bit more energetic but overall it was enjoyable. 3 Clovers.

Well HBO keeps playing this movie and whens its on I find myself watching it through to the end.
So, I have to upgrade it to a 4 clover rating. The movie is just totally enjoyable. Not a single complaint anywhere in it. The photography is excellant. The casting is great. Each person matches up to their character and each character has depth. The story is solid and layered. A thoroughly good viewing experience.
I was off today and got hardly a damn thing done, as usual. I dread going to work tomorrow.
You know, I understand that people should be proud of their interests and all and the web is a great outlet for fun and escape but these folks are just whacked.

Hey kiddies
it has been a while since i posted. The last month has beena bitch.
This is for me anyway, a way to just say stuff, release stuff, and mostly just for fun to learn this web and computer stuff. So where shall i begin with my first blog back.
Okay, lets start off slow.
i did this thing that i hate doing. The problem is that its hard not to do it. Everytime i do it; right before i am about to do it. I think to meself,"now you know this is gonna suck, right? you know that once you do it you can't undo it, right? you know that everytime you do this you know you shouldn't but you do and you regret it later, right?
So, I am standing there having this conversation with me self and i say to meself. "Look, this time it could be different. This time it might be good. This time it might be worth it. I mean, damn, everybody seems to disagree with me on this. This time if I do this maybe I see what everybody raves about. Plus, you know it is better to be optimistic than negative without even trying. What could it hurt, right?"
WEll, my answer is WRONG! I did it again and I cannot tell you the regret I have for doing it. I mean we are talking shame big time. OK, maybe not shame but definitely pain. I almost went catatonic doing it.
Oh, I just realized I didn't tell you folks what I am talking about. Well, I hate to admit it. But I actually ...but heres the thing though. The blame here really shouldn't fall on me because its another guys fault. And this guy is like got a huge following and everybody says he is so cool and genius even.
So I always give him the benfit of the doubt and talk meself into doing things I shouldn't do. So, I watched this movie, "Mulholland Drive" by David Lynch. It was 2 hours of me life I can't get back. What a load of shiite. I am sitting there praying to go blind and deaf or for lightning to strike me house killing my tv and vcr. I can't believe people like his movies. "BLue Velvet" is the only David Lynch movie you can sit through without actually aging exponentially. I'm not saying it was good but at least it won't kill you like the rest of his movies. And this one, "MD" was mad awful. One good scene in the whole thing; the part where some girl sings "Crying" by Roy Orbison in Spanish.
next up is a movie that got wrongly panned by the reviewers. "swordfish" is a perfectly acceptable movie.
I think the hype about Halles berries caused it to get panned but I liked it. It moved well, the story was decent, photography was good and halle is hellafine, so whats the problem. 3 clovers out of 4.
OK, so this next one is a wee bit embarissing but, well first let me say, I never rented this and certainly didn't go the theater to see it but having seen it on HBO I have to say I miss-prejudged this one.
"A Knights Tale" was thoroughly enjoyable. I thought the movie would suck because of the lead guy was "N'SYNC" cutest boy guy" but he wasn't. And the story was good, and the way they interchanged the music with the era, and the love story was worthy. The characters were widespread and cool. I loved Chaucer and the guy who played the bad guy. That guy is a bad guy in everything I have seen him in and it fits him with that offset eye thing going on. I liked williams whole gang and the lightheartedness of the movie but also being really well made with some classic film stuff intermixed. Like the scene where William meets the absolutely gorgeous Jocelyn in the church the 2nd time when he is asking how to prove his love for her. They start off with him in charge and walking towards her and her backing up and as it turns and she takes control they reverse that. All shot from a long view was excellant cinema.
The girl, Jocelyn was so pretty that at first I thought her attitude would break through her character or that she couldn't act. No offense but c'mon, really beautiful people generally don't put the effort in that others do. And I don't mean good looking I mean really beautiful. Look at the great actresses of all time.
Anne Bancroft, Bette Davis, Kathrine Hepburn, Meryl Streep. All good looking women but not gorgeous, right? Now how many really great actresses , I mean women that time after time put up the goods are gorgeous. Julia Roberts, gorgeous but hugely limited in her scope. I think she can act but she has gotten so worn into the few things she does that what she does in her movies isn't really acting.
Now there are some but very few. Kate winslet I think can act and Salam Hayek but they haven't really gotten a good production yet to really get the credit for acting more than being pretty.
So back to topic, A Knights Tale was good. Oh and hey by the way. Jocelyn, looks like Purple Girl.
And no that is not why I liked the movie, although it may have loosened me up to the idea.
Now speaking of Purple Girl. Three weeks ago, well, first, you remember me telling ya that she only works Fridays, Sar, and Sundays. Well I look out th e window around lunchtime to see if she is there and no purple munchkin car.The Lillipution mobile is not there all weekend. Not there the next weekend nor the one after that. So i figure Purple Girl has moved on and now I am left alone with the 4 ugly pugmugs I work with. So i am standing there looking out the window around 10 on Sat last weekend.
Thinking about how I hate me job, I hate this town, I hate this friggin state and I can't believe me life sucks like this. That I am stuck with this never get ahead and always treading water about to drown miserable banjaxed life. The street thats fronts our center has major traffic and the cars are lined up at a stop. This one guy is in my line of view and the sun is bursting off it right into me eyes. So I am leaning me arse against this counter drinking coffee and this light is flickering in me eyes so i slide over and adjust so it doesn't. So this tight little champagne sporty car pulls into the lot just as then and I am thinking, "nice ride". And guess who comes popping out of the car. You guessed it kiddies. Purple Girl.
Thats right. So for a brief flicker of a moment I forget all me troubles and become absorbed in her sashaying little waltz from her car to the store. For 30 seconds or so life is good. So she walks into her job and i am drinking coffee and the world is right. Than I am lookin g at her car and admiring the sporty little thing. So she got herself a sporty little number of a car and than it hits me; the dilemma. I can't really refer to her as "sporty little champagne car girl" now can I. So Purple Girl is still Purple Girl and she looks a bit like Jocelyn. She has the same style as the character and the same body and movement as the actress. Everything is close except Purple Girls face is umm rounder i guess and fuller lips, but otherwise close. Once again, I am not a stalker.
Ok whats up next. hmm what to mention. I talk about the News and stuff like that at the issue site [2nd link on the menu i think, nope 3rd] and I will finish that very soon. Since me life blows, I will work on it more.
Oh the N.Y. Jets signed Vinnie for 5 more years. Now don't get me wrong I love vinny but he is not that great. I am hoping they transition him into a coach and he teaches Pennington how to play. Pennington looks like he could be the QB we need. I can't wait for the season to get here so I can have something to look forward to each week. GO JETS - J-E-T-S JETSJETSJETS!
What else. I found some cool sites and some cool games and flashes to link I will do this weekend.
Oh Shiite. I gotta go do laundry. I gotta work tomorrow and i got nothing clean.
Ok so I will update regularly and get the rest of the site done very soon and I got some new stuff I am learning. Well goodnight folks and remember life sucks but whatever.

Now this was some gripping friggin TV. Did you all watch that Monica Lewinski special?
That was the best special HBO has ever done. They balance the whole thing off really well.
One, Monica is cool. I don't care what you right winging fanatic arses say, the whole Clinton/Lewinski
thing should have been private and they wasted our fucking money [60million bucks] trying to trash the guy when he did a better job at running our country than almost any other guy has ever done. Now, of course he was a prick for cheating on his wife, especially when the dumbarse knows he is gonna get caught. I mean what young girl fooling around with a powerful man isn't gonna tell her girlfriends. But, as for Monica, I can totally see how she could fall into the whole thing and I gotta say she handled the thing better than most people could have. I mean, she had that agenda driven prick Starr telling her she is going to jail yet she still tried to the right thing. She didn't wiretap her phones or record conversations with the president. She didn''t try to hurt anyone or be malicous like that sniveling Linda Tripp ratgirl.
She wasn't aiming for the spotlight and yet everybody came down on her hard. I always thought there was
more to her story and I am glad she did this show. The girl rocks and I dig her. She was very human about the whole thing. Oh, and that guy that asked her about being the "blow job queen", that guy needs and ass-kicking something serious. How innapropriate was that? She handled it cool though. The girl is solid. She seems like she has a good heart. And I gotta say it, the girl is cute.
I am so impressed that she let it get so personal and like that guy towards the end that was accusing her of using it as a spin for her career. That guy was way off base. I mean, damn, look at what she let everybody ask and how she responded and the clips that were played. She took it on the chin. [Not like that you dirty barstards] Really she stood straight up and let every angle be exposed and answered the questions straight up. If she was spinning she would not have let them play some of the clips they played and she certainly would have not included questions like that. She was way funny too. The girl has personality. Anyway, I like the girl and I hope she doesn't have to go through more shiite from one small time in her life. I mean, damn, the girl made some bad choices but none of them should have been public and the real sleaziness of it all is the people that made it public and the right wing fanatics that cost America 60 million bucks and wasted 2 years of time that could been used in much better ways than trying to prosecute Clinton. Damn good show.

Ok so i am an insomniac right. Have been all me life. No matter how tired I am I cannot fall asleep. As soon as I lay down I start thinking. Every dumbarse qusetion I ever had that nI couldn't answer, every dumbarse thing I ever did that I wish I didn't do, every dumbarse thing I didn't do that I wanted to do, just everything races through my dumbarse head until I hit upon something that bugs me so much that there is no way I can possible fall asleep. This is every night of every year of my life. Soo, i have pretty much gotten used to it and I try to do stuff that is better than just lying there getting all pissy. I usually read or research some bizarre factoids about history or something. Well I pretty much always have music playing and probably cnn on in the background. i don't really like tv much but I love tv too. I mean I don't watch many tv shows cause I don't have the time but I love tv too. If I could put a couch and a tv on the side of mountain with a stereo and fridge behind me i would couch potato my way through life. But I hate commercials and the interuptions of them so I dont watch many TV shows. I have seen at least 1 episode of most shows though so i know whats good and not. But, if i am gonna be in front of the tube, I much rather watch a movie. I am a major movie hound. Anyway, my point is, I am up late and I have been watching this one show that is on at 1:30 am and 2:00 am weekdays. Its a half hour sitcom and they play 2 episodes back to back. Anyway, when the show was on I never watched, not once that I recall. Now, although I always thought the star of the show was a beautiful woman, i always kinda thought she was stiff and couldn't act. Now, after 4 months of watching this show, I have to say that it is one of my altime favorite shows. I usually don't like sitcoms since most of them are a ripoff of either I Love Lucy or the Honeymooners or they star Ted Danson or Cybil Sheppard. So sitcoms usually are lame. But I have to say this show is hilarious and really good. So, whats the show? Ok I feel like a nancyboy saying this but here goes, Suddenly Susan. That's right. Laugh if you must, but Suddenly Susan rocks socks, man. The girl is hella funny and the writing is mad at it. The funniest guy on the show though died, and it looks like thewy tried to make a new show with major cast changes after that but I don't think they did more than 1 or 2 seasons after David "something" died. I think it was David. Anyway that guy was hilarious, he had a great career ahead of him but he killed himself in Vegas. Apparantly he was partying with that freaky funny guy Andy Dick and went off by himself after boozing and drugging all night and hung himself in his motel room. What the hell? Man this guy has it all going for him and the Demons still got him. There's probably way more to the story than they tell but i digress.
The show is funny as hell. And Brooke Shields is not only gorgeous the girl is tremendously funny. She comes across as a really cool girl too. If she is, in real life, at all like her character than Agassi is a dumbarse. Speaking of which, Venus Williams just got ranked #1. Damn Damn Damn. I can't stand that chick. She is soooooo irritating. I hope Martina comes back quick. I can't believe she gave up the way she did in the Australian Open against Cappriatti. Martina had that thing wrapped up. But it was crazy hot out there that day and being Cappriatti is from Florida she could handle it better.
OK. So I lost my tract of thought. Sue me.
Whatever

Oh yea, so the movie "Don't Say a Word". It was pretty good, even with Michael Douglas in it.
