Here is some more of Shirley's work. Pictures are clickable and will take you to a larger image.
This is the swap bracelet that Shirley made for Linda. Shirley got the design from The Beadworkers Guild
book of Bracelets.
Shirley had a lot of bead soup left over from the Seascape Tassel and she did
not feel like sorting it. She followed a bracelet design out of the
Beadwork Magazine Aug/Sept 2001. The necklace is just a very long strand
of beads which can be doubled into various lengths and held with the
large gold
fastener.
This is a necklace made from beads given to Shirley in a "bead hug" from members of the rec.crafts.beads newsgroup.
The five main focal beads are from that.
The gold filigree is from a broken antique necklace. There are Swarovski
crystal rondells and stabilised turquoise used as well.
This is the cushion that Shirley won the 2nd prize with. She worked it from a
kit about 5 years ago.
This is a new set Shirley made. It is made with vintage crystals,
Bali beads, howlite and clam shell beads.
These are some of the antique and vintages brooches Shirley picked up at the
antique fair
Shirley made this on the loom to resemble a 9 patch quilt. She wore it when she
went to the big quilt show at Malvern last year.
This is the pen Shirley made for Vikki from RCB.
This is Shirley's very first beadwork item. It was a kit from the New Stitches
magazine in UK.
These followed her first work. They were done from a book called "Why not
Make a Beaded Amulet" by Daphne J Parker & Jackie Woolsey
Shirley got this kit from a show. She was still working from kits at this time because she did not have
enough of a bead stash of her own yet.
This kit is one of Barbara Elbe's designs, The
Peacock
This is another kit Shirley got from a show.
This is a Mill Hill kit that Shirley bought when she visited her email pal.
It is done on perforated paper with cross stitch and beads.
