bell pull that she had cross stitched.
This is the @ badge Shirley made when she visited her email pal in NJ to wear
when she took her to the Heart of Cross Stitch show at Cherry Hill.
This is one of a set of 6 goblets that Shirley made when she went to a silver
smithing class at her local technical college.
She had to draw the
silver wire down to size herself to make each individual scroll. Each one
was applied separately and then the cone was matted using a matting tool
afterwards. The cup was hand raised. The only time it went on a lathe
was to line the pieces up prior to soldering. The cup, collet, cone and
base were all made separately. Two of the goblets have been on display
in the Goldsmith's Hall in London. They have the Chesterfield College of
Art and Design Hallmark on because she did not have her own at that time.
The design is unique, not another set like them in the world. Her tutor
used to work designing for Mappin and Webb in London. He helped her with
the design.

**Note**
After compiling these pages and pictures for Shirley, all I have to say is what can't this wonderful woman do?!
