This page is dedicated to the memory of Jess and Vivian Reynolds and their ancestors and descendants. Jess was English and Vivian was the daughter of French Canadians with roots going back to the original settlers of New France. If you have French ancestors you will find many of the early settlers from whom many present day Americans are descended. The names are predominantly French but there are some English also. There are Fille du Roi and soldiers of the famous Carignan Regiment, there is a Jesuit missionary and farmers and tradesmen But most of these people were just plain tough to put up with the hardships of the long sea voyage and Canadian frontier. But thanks to them America and Canada are better places today and I'm proud to be one of the many Americans that can say I'm part French Canadian.
