Dangerous Policies
In the spring of this year, Michael Moore decided that, even though there was no history to prove the need, for "security" Death Row inmates would never again have a face-to-face contact visit with anyone. While a handful of men went on a brief lived hunger strike, Jesus Delgado made a very serious attempt to take his own life. The words he meant to be his final farewell to the world were, "If I can never hug my dear mother again, then life isn't worth living." Warden Carter's statement? "It's not bothering me..." and it certainly did not bother Michael Moore that the guards have nothing left to use as legal punishment for bad behavior, and people living on death row have nothing left to legally lose period. Everybody is in a more dangerous position because of Moore's concept of "corrections". kl

SundayDear Kay
Thank you very much for those comforting and encouraging letters, themselves dated on May 1 and 6-2 respectively.
I really appreciate everything you do for us. We need it.
You know already something personal about me. I was very close to die not long ago. The judicial system has turned me out insane. My direct appeal to the Florida Supreme Court was denied. All I can do is wait out of my execution. I have been held pretty much eight years, since December 23-1993. Long, long time. What a shame. I am 35 years old.
Respectfully,
Jesus Delgado
