Additionally, we grow and ship "sun cactus". We are again able to offer a range of these attractive hybrids between, Aporocactus and Epiphyllum hybrids. The plants have the rats-tail stems of the Aporocactus combined with the flowers of the Epiphyllum. Flowers are mostly 3-5 inches in diameter being produced freely in the spring.

Plants are easy to grow and make ideal subjects for hanging baskets so that their long slender stems can cascade. They require a minimum temperature of about 42f ( 6c) in winter and prefer slight shade from the summer sun. Plants may require the occasional light watering during winter to stop die back of the tips of the stems, particularly if grown in a warmer environment.( i.e. indoors). These plants respond well to regular feeding during the spring and summer with a cactus food (such as Cactigrow) to build up the plants strength for flowering.

*Drunkards Dream is a small leaved epiphytic cactus that looks like tiny inverted beer bottles, stacked end to end. Blooms orange at each end. Very nice!

We have many more, too numerous to list. If you want a particular variety, please ask me. We are growing most of our stock plants at our greenhouses in Louisiana. They will be shipped to me for my inspection and for the cut to heal, so when you get your shipment, the cuttings will be ready to plant. All you should do is dip them in rootone, plant and in about 3-4 weeks, you will begin seeing new growth. We mist our cuttings once or twice daily during this new growth stage and water slightly once a week. Only the highest quality cuttings that pass my strict inspection will be shipped. You will be assured of high quality plants. Shipments are normally within 2-3 weeks. We do watch the weather closely and ship at just the right time. We want your shipment to arrive warm and cuddly.
