Part 1: The Legacy

In a land peaceful and prosperous, the Yoshis live, but on one dark and misty day, there arose a mighty army from the dark reaches of the Fantasy World. They where THE ZERG! They were quick to overthrow the Yoshi's and all that they worked for, razing their buildings, destroying villages, and evidently taking over the most of Yoshomo City. But the five founding Yoshi's could not take it any more, it was time to strike back! It was then, That Yoshi himself, created the Shen Sari. A Group of elite soldiers to be trained under his command. Out of pure will and the strength of the Yoshi Gods, Yoshi created a new breed of warrior. The "Evolutions" as they were called in the early days of the war, had new unseen talents, like focusing the elements in a magic force blast. But then Yoshi needed a weapon to destroy the Zerg threat, and it had to be powerful. He then preceded to the sacred Yoshi Temple to ask the Three Yoshi Gods- Cabreeal the Goddess of knowledge that the Yoshis bestow, Shen the God of Nobility of Yoshis, and Sari the God of the strength of Yoshis, for help

They granted his wish and then, on the altar of Yoshamato a beam of light shone though the opening in the roof and descended a sword, a sword forged by the three Yoshi Gods themselves. It bestowed great power, able to focus pure energy fused with the force of the Yoshi Gods.

In the middle stages of the war small civilian resistance was seen in Yoshomo City. Also around that time, Yoshi christened the "Evolutions" as "Yoshi Warriors" hence the name "Yoshi The Warrior" Even with their powerful army, the Zerg fell to the might of the Yoshi Warriors. After the Zerg threat was destroyed, the city reclaimed and all straggler Zergs were killed, the Yoshis were finally at peace again.

Part 2: The Basics of Life

The cute little Yoshi's live peacefully upon their tropical island, respectively named Yoshi's Island. Their diet consists mainly of fruit such as melons, berries and many others. Their Island is inside The Fantasy World and is situated just south of their equivalent of our Florida.

Teen Yoshi's are approximately 5-6 feet tall, and are 6-7 feet from snout to tail. They walk just like Raptors and resemble them a lot, it is rumored that Yoshis evolved from some kind of Raptor. When morphed, a Yoshi is about 7-8 feet tall and are 3-4 feet from snout to tail (Adults do not get much bigger that this.) They weigh on average about 150 lbs. When a Yoshi is not eating it is usually sleeping or creating something new out of various components that can be found on the island. They also enjoy listening to Music. Yoshis come in a rainbow of colors; Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, Pink, and Light Blue.

A non-morphed Yoshi can defend itself if needed. Being Dinosaurs, they have sharp teeth that are specialized for self defense, slicing through flesh (if-needed) and are rounded enough to crunch up fruit.

Also, They can use their incredibly long tongues to capture attackers and then use a special gland located in the back of the throat to encase them in an egg, this move can only be use on enemies at most the size of the licking Yoshi.

Yoshi's proudest move, the ground-pound, Yoshi himself created this move and now is being used by all Yoshis and even other races! It consists of a single jump, a spin in the air, and the added momentum of that spin is uses in a hard drop, the Yoshi then slams into the ground usually feet first, but sometimes butt first.

Part 3: Religion and Gods

Obviously, the Yoshis have Christmas, as well as other holidays. They have three gods that guide them through even the darkest of times. These Gods are Dragon-Yoshi like, and sometimes even appear in flesh and blood! The names of these gods are mentioned in Part 1: The Legacy, but just for reference they are Cabreeal the Goddess of knowledge that the Yoshis bestow, Shen the God of Nobility of Yoshis, and Sari the God of the strength of Yoshis.

Part 4: Health and Death

When a Yoshi dies, its body is taken back to the Yoshi temple for preparation and burial. Instead of just burring their dead like normal, they mummify their dead. The only difference is that all of the organs are left in place. The body is simply laid out on a table and wrapped in a single layer of bandages coated with a special chemical.

Also, when a Yoshi is mortally wounded, it is brought back to the Temple and is wrapped in the same faison that the dead are, except with a different chemical, called Yoshseum, this chemical patches up wounds and restores lost cells. Depending on how severe the wounds are, and where, the eyes and mouth are usually left un-wrapped. The Yoshi is conscious through the whole process, and is fed three meals a day. The longest recommended time for a Yoshi to be wrapped is at MOST three days.

This process works on some animals as well, particularly Lizards like Crocodiles, and some mammals such as felines. This process has never been performed on humans before.

Part 5: Reproduction

As you all know Yoshis come out of eggs when they are babies. But do you know how they get their color? Its simple, each Yoshi is a different color because of the egg color. Each color is a reflection on an element or strength or both. For instance, Red Yoshis have always like fire; they were the best candidates for the Flame-Thrower infantry. Reproduction in Yoshi is not much different as with all reptiles. The male simply climbs on back of the female, and sperminates, fertilizing the egg. The egg color before fertilization is blank, it takes its color from a mixture of color chromosomes. But not only is a Yoshi colored by color chromosomes, but by characteristics of the parent Yoshis.

Well, that's the end of the book! I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! And I hope you learned something new!
