DAC eliminates the use of the compact disc (CD). CD’s have a lot of problems such as: skipping, scratching, getting lost, physical deterioration, heat damage, loss of sound quality, and many other downfalls. Music has been around for ages. Each time a new generation of music is created a new technology follows along. Vinyl records started the music industry back in the 50’s way back before most of us were even born. Eight-track cassettes were next on the list in the 70‘s. Eight track cassettes had very poor sound reproduction and quality. Cassette tapes came along and ruled the industry for quite some time through most of the 80’s. The problem with cassette tapes were tape players loved to eat them not to mention their poor sound quality they inherited from their forefathers the eighttrack. CD’s are now currently used to play music throughout most of the country in clubs, homes, and automobiles. CD’s are portable easy to use and store a great deal of music. The next generation of music is here and is starting right now. MP3 is the future in music technology. MP3 uses the same format of a CD, but eliminates all of the physical problems of owning a CD.
DAC will provide at a cost, a computer capable of performing certain tasks for operating your business. For most people, computers are a whole new world with complicated terms. CD’s use a format called wav files. Each track on the CD is a wav file. The approximate size of a wav file is around 30 to 40 megabytes. MP3 format takes the wave file and compresses it down to about 3 to 4 megabytes making it smaller and allowing more room for other files. All these files are then copied onto the computer, which is integrated into the existing sound system. A music player program (winamp or what program is installed) will be used to play these music files.
This setup will in turn eliminate lost, stolen, scratched, and skipping CD’s. This music is stored digitally on the computer were they sound exactly the same as the first day they are played. In all MP3 is here, it is the future, and now is the time to take advantage!
