 Old West Clothing

Finding good Old West clothing has not been easy. I have followed suggestions here and there piecing together different outfits using SOTW articles, some Hasbro, and even some 21st. But really none of it seems right. There are some great Old West figs coming out this year so hopefully we'll be rewarded with some decent Duds. I f you've made your own or have kit bashed together a fig drop me a line on how you did it and even a picture if possible. As my web grows I will try to collect suggestions from others to pass on to everyone out there. One thing I have learned in this hobby is it's a great community.... everyone helps each other and I would have not continued were it not for the support and ideas contributed by my friends online. I hope I can give back something to everyone that has helped me. Thank you.
Ok a lil showcase of my not so professional sewing skills. The shirt and Pants are completely my design. The vest is a Pattern I picked up at a local Craft store. You never know what you'll find until you look! The hat is my own creation also using felt and a jig I made. Not quite the way I want them but it will do for now. As always let me know what you think!

Ok here is a few of my modified Cowboys. I have a couple of original head sculpts but I haven't yet perfected them so they will stay out in the south 40 so to say. Keep an eye out for my new "George Armstrong Custer" Head.

Finally here he is! I am really slow on my updates but finally took the time to get this in. Most of my stuff is just a rehash of an existing sculpt. I Then recast them and repaint 'em to my liking. The more I get to paint the more fun I have at it and there are some great tips on the message boards. The reason I get so lazy is as soon as I do something I think is original....BAM! There it is on the shelf......why post a pic of something that a big production company is doing better. Oh well here he is at last my 21st century "Custer"! I still need to detail his eyes. Keep your  eyes out for others. I recast the 21st tanker with hair and plugged up that cigar hole and gave him a little Charlie Chaplin mustache. Turned out great!. Also my latest is a re sculpt of Dragons Klaus....there was just something all wrong with that. Keep your eyes open.
