The
invitations promised a day of feasting & merriment and I think
the guests agree, the promise was kept!
With
an unusual "blend" of Renaissance, Celtic and good old
fashioned "down home country", the day's festivities
began!

The
day started with the mothers of the bride and groom trying to get the decorations up, and "aunt"
Helen creating floral arrangements (curlers still in her hair) while the fathers of
the
bride and groom played moving day with the cake. Back at
the
house....Vikki & Patti made 9 dozen "deviled eggs", while
the groom set up the grill and the bride made "veggie trays".
Allah running off to find a "cake prop".
Reynelle (the groom's mom)
and Catherine (bride's daughter)
working on setting up a food
table.

Vikki
takes time off to eat. Making 9 dozen "deviled eggs"
is hard work!

My
wonderful friend Carol not only made the cake, but took the
time (the night before the wedding) to teach Tanya some decorating
skills.
Tanya
actually helped to decorate her own cake!
The moving team managed to
get it to it's destination
looking remarkably like a tower in Pisa,
Italy....Thank goodness
we had a certified engineer, Sergei to help set
things back to right!

Reynelle
came up with this cleaver idea for the groom's cake.
Yup, that's our bride & groom at about age 4.
