1992-1997 Cadillac Seville

The Seville was completely restyled for 1992 and put on an all new chasis. The car had a longer wheelbase and greater overall length. The Seville Touring Sedan or STS was continued. The 1992 Seville was the first car to win every major automotive award. The Seville continued to use Cadillac's 4.9 liter V-8, producing 200ho and 275ft./lbs of torque. The STS was once again distinguished by its lack of chrome trim and its grille mounted wreath and crest.

For 1993, the STS received the Northstar System, including the 295 horsepower 4.6 liter engine. The Northstar System also included a new computer controlled transmission and suspension.

For 94, the base Seville was rechristened the SLS and given the 270 hp variant of the Northstar engine In 95, both engines received an extra five horsepower and the STS gained 5 ft./lbs of torque.

For 1996, the SLS and STS both got new wheels and a few new options.

For 1997, the Sevilles got redesigned interiors with a simplified air conditioning control system located in the center of the dash.
