1979-1985 Cadillac Eldorado

This is the totally redesigned 1979 Eldorado. The Eldorado lost a ton of length and weight, but thanks to more efficient use of space, leg room, and cargo room figures were up.

For 1980, the Eldorado got a new grill design. This is the high-line Eldorado Biarritz.

For 1982 the Eldorado got the wimpy HT-4100 powerplant. A Touring Coupe model was also introduced. For 83 it got minor changes and improvements.

For 1984, a new Eldorado rag-top was introduced. This car was manufactured for Cadillac by a professional custom body work corporation. It cost a $11,000 more than the standard Eldorado.

This is the 1984 Eldorado Touring Coupe. Notice the unique wheels, cloisonee hood emblem that is also used on the sail panels, and the unusual paint treatment.

This is the last year for this incarnation of the Fleetwood Eldorado. It had only minor changes and a new option on the convertable.
