Mr. Woetzel began his ballet training at age 4 with local teachers. At age 7, he enrolled in the Boston Ballet School. At age 15, he moved to Los Angelas, and joined the Los Angelas Ballet. At age 16, in 1984, he became a principal dancer with Los Angelas Ballet. In 1984, he enrolled at School of American Ballet, and joined the company in the corps de ballet in six months later. In 1989, he became a Soloist, and later that same year was promoted to the rank of Principal.
