Mr. LaFosse began his ballet training at the Marsha Woody Academy of dance in Beaument, Texas. He continued his dance education at The Harkness School in New York City, as well as The School of American Ballet. He joined American Ballet Theatre in 1977, and was soon promoted to Principal. He joined NYCB in 1986 as a Principal dancer.
