Ms. Kistler began her ballet training at age 12 with Irina Kosmouska in Los Angeles. That year, she also attended the School of American Ballet summer session. At age 14, she received a full scholorship to study at SAB. Ms. Kistler joined the company in 1980 in the corps de ballet, was promoted to Soloist in 1981, and then was promoted again to Principal in 1982.
