Irina Dvorovenka
Ms. Dvorovenka, born in Kiev, Ukraine, began her ballet training at the age of 10 at the Kiev Ballet School. In 1990 she joined the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Kiev as a soloist, and was promoted to the rank of Principal in 1992. She aquired a vast repertoire there. She won several awards, including
- Grand Prix, Junior Division of Ukraine Ballet Competition (1987),
- Diploma of the Junior Division of Moscow Ballet Competition (1988),
- Silver Medal at the Jackson International Ballet Competition (1990),
- Bronze Medalat the International Ballet Competion in Osaka, Japan (1991),
- Gold Medal and Anna Pavlova Award at the International Ballet Competition of Moscow (1992),
- Grand Prix at the International Ballet Competition Serge Lifar in the Ukraine (1994).
Ms. Dvorovenka joined American Ballet Theatre in 1996, and was promoted to Soloist in 1997. She is now a Principal, and is married to ABT soloist Maxim Belotserkovsky.
