Blood Countess

Centuries ago in a time where rights only went to those with great quantities of money. There lived a Hungarian Countess by the name of Erzsebeth Bathory or known to many as Elizabeth Bathory. Ersebeth was married to Count Ferencz Nadasdy who had an affinity for war hence he was away from the castle a great deal leaving his beloved wife to fend for herself. She took company with witches, satrys, sorcerers, and the like. She was taught the arts by them and payment in return they were let to live in the castle and feed. Ersebeth was one for torture and she was well known for it. She got to the point where she found it so fascinating that she would torture the maids for the littlest mistake they made. One torture device she used that she acquired from her husband was a whip with silver claws on the end. The device would tear the flesh when it hit casuing an extreme macabre scene of blood and flesh that her husband wanted nothing more to do with it however Ersebeth was quite taken by it and she used it on the maids when they were punished.

Being one who was obsessed with her natural beauty, Ersebeth would do anything to keep it. One day while one of the maids were brushing her hair, Ersebeth became enraged because the maid either said something wrong or pulled her hair that remains a mystery. Ersebeth struck the maid, how she did I'm not entirely sure for I've heard three different things. One was she threw the brush and it cut the maids lip, the second she hit her and her nails sliced the maids cheek, and the third that she smack the maid so hard that her nose began to bleed, either way blood was drawn and it hit Ersebeth. Disgusted Ersebeth whiped it away immdiately however she noticed that where the blood was that part of her skin was younger looking and more vibrant. From that day on Ersebeth bathed, showered, and drank the blood of virgin maids. She'd drain the blood into a tub and soak in it before it got cold. She would put the miads in cages and stand under them while they were stabbed and the blood would shower her. She didn't drink a whole lot but it was said she did a few times. After some time she realized that servent blood was getting her nowhere and the wrath of aging was still upon her. One of her witches told her that the blood of nobles is what she needed. So, Ersebeth went after the noble virgins but because she was so obsessed she was a bit sloppy and was discovered. In the end Ersebeth and her helpers were tried. Ersebeth being of noble blood was decided to be left alone and they locked her in her room in the castle. The two who helped with the killing of the women had their fingers torn from their bodies and were burned alive. The others who were there were decapitated. More than 600 victims were taken by the "Blood Countess" and four years after she was locked up in her room she died. Ersebeth Bathory was no more but her sadistic legend lives on.
