First up, The Juliana Theory and Zao have officially decided to cancel their split. Brett Detar has went on record stating that since the bands did have been so busy, neither really has time to record the project.
At a recent Bleach show, Dave Basinger announced that they are no longer signed with Forefront. When asked further about it, guitarist Milam stated that "We have had a few very good offers from various record labels, but we are waiting and praying for what God wants us to do."
In more Juliana Theory news,the band is now working on some new material. Brett Detar stated that"We have been in the studio on and off recently, working on new material. Exact plans for the release of these songs is still up in the air, but we are writing and recording alot of new material. We are really excited about the new stuff. It leans a bit more on the rock side of the spectrum than music from Emotion is Dead. We cannot wait for you to hear it."
SoCAL Rap-rock band EDL has just released their 4th studio album entitled Every Day Life.This CD includes some vary thought provoking lyrics behind some incredibly thought out and well executed highlites. Some outstanding tracks include "Jetstream", "Every Day Life", and "Stop".

For those who do not know, Zao and The Juliana Theory are currently working on a split CD on Equalvision Records. This CD will include two unreleased tracks from both bands, and each band will be covering one of the other band's songs. Although still unconfirmed, it is rumored that The Juliana Theory will be covering Zao's "Lies of Serpents, River of Tears". Expect to see this CD out late summer.
Skillet, who has been recieving demos for the past few months, of people trying out to be their new guitarist, has finally found one. His name is Ben Kasica. Also, Skillet has finished recording their new CD, titled "Alien Youth". Expect to see this CD in late August.
Many new things have been released from Solidstate, sub-label of Tooth & Nail. Some of these CD's include Luti-Kriss' first album from Solidstate entitled "Throwing Myself". Zao also just released their 5th CD entitled "Self-Titled". Also, look for the new Solidstate sampler entitled "This is Solidstate: vol. 2". Check them out.
