Daybreak

written by Nathan

April 1999

A dawn breaks deepening into the day—
A slow single sovereign sun
Breaks the before blackened horizon;
Rays of light alight the lonely land
Scouring the skies and chasing the moon and stars away—
A burdensome bustling begins:
A weary world is awake.
The morn meets the mounts and scorches the sands
Fighting a fleetly falling nocturnal foe—
The rays of rebirth, renewal, revival; reach afar,
And the orafice of opportunity opens: ajar.
