Rose decided to participate in a prison rally and retaliation has now come down against her son.
Using his illness ,and medications he bought at the prison store, the guards have now charged him with being drunk"Here is the Information About the Rally that caused the guard's to want to hurt Rose's son.
I am working on this with Marta also in Texas. She is looking up the ingredients in the cough syrup
taken by Rose's son that was bought in commissary.

MY SON...MANDY'S HUSBAND...I called the unit on June 26, 2001, to make sure I could get a visit with my son and husband. When we got there after driving 200 miles, we were told my son Woodrow was in AD-SEG. but could have a visit pending his hearing.
He became sick with sinus infection on and about June 25, 2001 he bought some ANTIHISTAMINES AND COUGH SYRUP on commissary (because it cost money when you go to the infirmary) so he was taking what he bought from them....and Friday he works for Ms. Dickerson (Windham ISD) and she had stated Thursday he looked funny and he responded that he had a bad infection and was taking meds he bought at the store in prison.
So Friday, June 29, 2001 He went to work (at the school) still not feeling good. Still taking meds. he went to lunch and went to the restroom (you have to get a pass to go to the restroom) and when he did such he was arrested and handcuffed. He was shocked. Ms. Campbell said he looked as if he was intoxicated. She and Sgt. Grant gave him a sobriety (which consisted of eye coordination with a pin, had him look left to right and take 4 steps in front of each other) end of test.
MY SON REQUESTED A BLOOD OR A URINALYSIS TO BE DONE. Instead they took him to sick bay placed in a room and they came in and looked in his EARS. end of EXAMINATION. NO urine was taken or blood test was given to him. BY THE RULES OF TDCJ A LT. HAS TO BE PRESENT TO asses the charges. THE LT. on duty did not come down there (LT. Sheppard) WAS ON DUTY. I GOT there and found out and told them to bring LT. MAYFIELD to the visiting room. He came, we talked, he said there was nothing he could do because he was not on duty at the time...
A guard there (I cannot disclose her name ) pulled me to the side and told me to watch my son and husband because LOTS WERE MAD AT US FOR HAVING OUR RALLY. She stated that not every one felt that way and stated the lady, MS. HARRIS, has treated many people like she did me but went to far with me having me raise my shirt up....
My son was to get his good time back and start his contact visits back next month and is up for parole in Sept. and now if they do this injustice thing to him he would loose all his good time, contact visits, and will not get to go in front of the parole board. My husband's mail, they told him, can be held for 30 days coming in or going out. Lots of his legal things have come up missing that he has send me and it is taking any where from 4 to10 days for me to get his letters....
NOW WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS TELL EVERYONE.....I cannot let my child lose everything...BUT I WILL NOT STOP MY FIGHT ..FOR WHAT IS RIGHT...WE NEED HELP...
I did ask LT. MAYFIELD to give him a blood test or piss test. He said it was too late, that it had been more than 24 hrs...
Ms. Dickerson (school teacher Woodrow works for will be gone for 3 weeks his main witness) WHAT HAPPENS TO HIM....????????????? Please advise - I told him to plead NOT GUILTY.........But they win either way...
WHERE AND WHAT CAN I DO? It's OK if they harass me but TO TAKE MORE OF HIS LIFE? THEY WRITE THE RULES WHERE THE RULES NOW?????
