Thanking You

It's kinda hard realizing you're not here for me anymore,
I always thought you'd be there.
Now I realize it was just a dream, what we shared was rare.
I really miss having you in my life, you were the strong point I needed.
Everytime I needed someone you were there,
you made me feel like I'd succeeded.
You were my shoulder to cry on, the only person who understood me.
You loved me for me, when no one else could see.
You've been the only person to see the real me, when no one else could.
You brought that out, when no one else would.
For the first time in my life, I felt love.
I might not have understood it, but to feel it was enough.
Now that you're gone, I can't say I don't feel love for you.
It will always be in my heart, and in my mind too.
I will never forget, the way you made me feel love like I'd never known.
You made my life complete, and I never felt alone.
Thank you for making me realize, the person that I can be.
I will always remember you, and keep your love with me.
