Lost Love

Passing by each other, we look out of the corner of our eye.
We can't speak, what we live is a lie.
No one can suspect anything, or we'll both be in some shit.
My family would die, and everyone would have a fit.
Everything has to be on the down low, everything we do we hide.
When someone asked about us, I lied.
I can't tell anyone how I feel about you, that my love is really deep.
If you make me sad, I can't even weep.
I wear your clothes, and no one can know.
I buy you stuff, and you have to put on a show.
I wish it wasn't like this, why does it have to be?
Why can't anyone understand? Why don't they see?
Love doesn't know color, and it never should.
Why are people prejudice? I wish no one would.
If age is just a number, then black should just be a shade.
Color's only skin deep, but love will never fade.
