RAILFANNING THE TALLAHASSEE SUBDIVISION

Local CSX frequencies: 160.23; 161.10; 160.59.
Tallahassee yard is interesting because  it is DTC on the Jacksonville side and CTC on the Chattahoochee side. See Timetable.

CSX North and South: A Jacksonville bound train is Northbound and a New Orleans bound train is Southbound despite the line being compass East-West. This gets interesting in Pensacola where the yard is compass North-South. But a train that leaves toward the compass North is actually a southbound to New Orleans. A train heading compass south is actually a northbound to Jacksonville. It also gets interesting in Tallahassee, where the locals to Bainbridge and  Live Oak, both Northbounds, leave the yard in opposite directions!!!!!!!!

CSX time is Eastern time even in New Orleans. There is no time zone.
