Japanese Ninjutsu

Japanese Ninjutsu is a martial art that is over 1100 years old. The focus is on natural body movement. It is not as flashy as many martial arts and it is not a sport. Though many of the legends of the ninja are true, just as many are folk tales. The ninja were believed to be able to vanish into thin air, walk through walls and perform magic. This was to the ninja's advantage. The truth is that the ninja were very skilled at what they did and the legend caused great fear among the people. The ninja were normal people leading normal lives. They lived in a village and worked together. The martial art skills of the village were passed down from generation to generation just as in any other Japanese province or region.

Ninjutsu is not as it appears on television. It is not flashy and it does not include the the fancy kicks and fighting techniques as in Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan or other traditional martial arts. Ninjutsu is not a pretty art, but it is very effective. Battle tested and proven for over 1100 years, it is still one of the most effective self defense systems in existance today.
