Smokey Mountain Man!

Ronnie Milsap was born blind on January 16, 1943 in Robbinsville, North Carolina. He grew up listening primarily to country music until he started school. He enrolled in North Carolina State School for the Blind at the age of six where he was not only taught the basics in education but music as well. By the age of seven Ronnie learned the violin, by the age of eight he accomplished the piano. He also went on to learn guitar, percussion as well as woodwinds. After school Ronnie went on to study law in Atlanta but after two years he quite to follow his musical dreams. Ronnie started of as a blues musican in the 60's. He even released a few albums. In the 70's Ronnie signed with RCA and the hits continued from there. All in all Ronnie has produced 40 number one hits in country music along with countless awards.

Today, Ronnie continues to tour and record great music. His newest releases are "Branson City Limits", which was just released in the summer of 1999 and "Wish You Were Here", that was released March of 2000. In June of 2000 a new album will be released.
