What A Difference They've Made In My Life!

I think it's a piano thing.

At the age of sixteen I discovered Ronnie Milsap. I had heard his music many times before as a child in the 80's. I can remember knowing all the words to his songs on the radio, but I don't think I really began to appreciate him until the mid 90's when I was in my late teens. Ever since then I have been hooked. I'm not sure exactly what led me back to his music, It could have been the fact that he is a piano player and that is my favorite instrument or that he was raised in the smokey mountains of North Carolina and that is, at least to me one of the most beautiful places on this earth. It could be a number of different things but all I know is that I really love his music.

At a much earlier age I discovered Elton John. I think I was about seven or eight. I can remember my mother playing the album "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player", all the time. Her favorite song was "Elderberry Wine".(hope I spelled that right)I quickly became a big fan. To me Sr Elton John is one of the best composers in music today. This along with being a brillant piano player are just two of the reasons I love his music.

I guess I can thank my father for introducing me to Ronnie Milsap and country music and my mother for Elton John. Of course I have alot more to thank them for but this page is not about that.

On March 7 of 2000 I attended my first Ronnie Milsap concert at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City. We had great seats down in front. I had a great time, he put on a wonderful show. I can't wait until he comes back this way again.
