The JWL [Episode 6]

Live from The Ice Palace, Tampa, FL

You know the drill.

Opening match: "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer (w/Beulah McGillicutty) vs. Kurt Angle

LG: The following contest is scheduled for one fall.

("I Don't Suck" plays)

LG: Making his way to the ring, representing the Royals, from Pittsburgh, PA, weighing in at 220 lbs., KURT ANGLE!

Crowd boos and does the "you suck!" chant in sync with Angle's music.

Angle grabs the mic before Fink can introduce Dreamer.

Angle: "First of all, I DO NOT SUCK! You idiots are too stupid to know that you do not boo an Olympic Champion. I am YOUR OLYMPIC HERO! I am The Big Red White and Blue Machine! If anyone sucks around here, it's that ridiculous Tommy Dreamer. Oh it's true, it's true. He may have skills, but he never uses them. All he does is hit people with weapons because he's too broken down to do anything else. I'm a two-time WWF World Champion. He was ECW World Champion for, what, about five minutes? I'm supposed to be impressed by that? Or by that ex-Penthouse magazine bimbo he brings with him? Just shows what kind of women those ECW losers attract. Oh it's true, it's true."

Before Kurt can say anything else, Tommy Dreamer, with Beulah McGillicutty, runs in the ring and attacks Kurt. Tommy kicks Kurt's ass for the first few minutes. Kurt comes back and shows off his technical skills, with Dreamer, as usual, taking big bumps. Dreamer fights back, showing off his own skills, which surprises Angle. Dreamer dominates the match, with Beulah yelling encouragement. Tommy drags Kurt over to the corner and bashes Kurt's head against the turnbuckles 10 times, right in front of Beulah. The message: Don't criticize Beulah. Dreamer hits the DDT, but, to everyone's shock, "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig runs down and pulls referee Nick Patrick out of the ring and decks him. Hennig enters the ring and attacks Dreamer, including giving him the Perfectplex. Hennig releases the Perfectplex so Angle can hit the Angle Slam and hook the Anglelock. Beulah enters the ring and decks both Hennig and Angle with the cookie sheet. Tommy is too beat up to capitalize, however. Beulah tries to slip a chair in for Tommy, but Hennig stops her and uses the chair himself. Hennig and Angle get in Beulah's face, so intimidating her that she bolts for the lockerroom area, and comes back with...THE SANDMAN~! Sandman canes both heels. Other refs run in to clear out Sandman and Hennig, but they deck the refs and keep fighting. By this time, Tommy has recovered and joined in the fight as well. The Hardcore Alliance and The Royals both pour out of the lockerroom and everyone fights everyone. Finally, Head Referee Earl Hebner runs in and throws the match out.

LG: "This match has been declared a no-contest."

The Hardcore Alliance regroups and returns to the lockerroom. However, The Royals stay and it is clear that something is about to happen.

To the shock of everyone, Angle announces that he will voluntarily leave The Royals and is siding with Hennig instead of his stablemates.

Lawler: "Yeah, and who have you two got to back you up now?"

Watch out folks, because here's MR. BOB BACKLUND!

Backlund: "Listen you pathetic, immature plebians! I, Mr. Bob Backlund, will be guiding the careers of the Perfect Team, Mr. Hennig and Mr. Angle. Lawler, you idiot, I am not surprised that you forgot that I bought Mr. Angle's contract from you before the show, since the only word that ever crosses your mind these days is 'puppies.' Therefore, regardless of the outcome of the previous match, Mr. Angle would not be leaving with your so-called 'Royals.' I am the leader of a new stable in the JWL, called High Standards. Other members may be added in the future. For now, you will respect us and recognize that we do embody High Standards."

The crowd is exhausted after seeing a match, a big brawl and two surprise debuts.

Back to the ring.

Everything has settled down, so now we go to our next match. Because of how much time the preceeding match and angle took, this will be our main event.

Lita vs. Tori

LG: "The following women's contest is scheduled for one fall."

("Come Out and Play (Keep 'Em Separated" by The Offspring plays)

LG: "Introducing first, representing Raven's Nest, from Portland, OR, TORI!"

Mixed reaction, but mostly boos.

("It Just Feels Right" plays)

LG: "Her opponent, representing Team Xtreme, from Sanford, NC, LITA!"

Crowd pops huge, chanting "Lita! Lita!"

The match starts, and Lita dominates with her fast-paced offense. The crowd is into this match, cheering for Lita. Tori does some good stuff as well, but the crowd doesn't really respond to her. After an extended period of solid action, Lita hits the Twist of Fate and Moonsault for the pin. Crowd pops.

LG: "Here is your winner, LITA!"

End of show.
