The JWL [Episode 40]

You know the drill.

We do a special ten-bell salute to Chris Candido.

Opening match: Gangrel (w/Luna Vachon) vs. Marc the Bodyguard (w/Sable and Torrie Wilson)

JR tells us that Commissioner Foley made this match because he wants to see the issues settled in the ring.

LG: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall."

("Wild Cat" plays)

Crowd boos.

LG: "Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Sable and Torrie Wilson, from Orlando, FL, weighing in at 240 lbs., making his JWL in-ring debut, MARC THE BODYGUARD!"

("Blood" plays)

Crowd cheers.

LG: "And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Luna Vachon and representing the Misfits, from the Other Side of Darkness, weighing in at 240 lbs., GANGREL!"

Marc and Gangrel lock up, and Gangrel takes control. Gangrel focuses on scientific wrestling, emphasizing his considerable strength. Gangrel gets a clothesline and an elbow drop for 2. Marc fights back with fists, slams and a dropkick for 2. Gangrel comes back but Marc resorts to cheating like nuts to stay in the match. Sable and Torrie are reluctant to interfere because neither wants to have to deal with Luna. After a few more minutes of back and forth action, Gangrel misses a blind charge and Marc hits him with the TKO (fireman's carry Diamond Cutter) for the pin at 6:00.

LG: "Here is your winner, MARC THE BODYGUARD!"

The heels don't even bother to celebrate, instead they just run to the back.

Rhino vs. Doink

LG: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall. In the ring at this time, from Parts Unknown, weighing in at 220 lbs., DOINK!"

("Gore" plays)

LG: "And his opponent, representing Raven's Nest, from Detroit, MI, weighing in at 285 lbs., RHINO!"

Crowd boos.

Rhino squashes the Clown and finishes with the Gore at 2:30.

LG: "Here is your winner, RHINO!"

The Undertaker attacks Rhino after the match. Rhino leaves and he and UT trash-talk each other for a bit. Taker chokeslams Doink for fun.

The Dudley Boys come out and Bubba takes the mic.

BUBBA: FACES OF FEAR! We are calling you two out because we want our title shot! We are the most decorated team ever! 8-time ECW World Tag Team Champions! 8-time WWE World Tag Team Champions! 1-time WCW World Tag Team Champions! 1-time WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions! That’s 18 reigns! That's a hell of a lot more than you boys have ever had. We want our title shot tonight!"

D-VON: "Oh, TESTIFY!"

(The Faces of Fear's music plays)

MENG: "DUDLEYS! You get your shot. This will be one of the biggest mistakes you will have ever made! Hashawa!"

Handicap match: Brock Lesnar (w/Paul E. Dangerously and 911) vs. Marcus Bagwell and Scotty Anton

LG: The following handicap contest is scheduled for one fall. In the ring at this time, first, from Marietta, GA, weighing in at 247 lbs., MARCUS BAGWELL! And his partner, from Savannah, GA, weighing in at 228 lbs., SCOTTY ANTON!

("Next Big Thing" plays)

Crowd cheers.

LG: "And their opponent, being led to the ring by Paul E. Dangerously and 911 and representing the Dangerous Alliance, making his JWL debut, from Minneapolis, MN, weighing in at 294 lbs., BROCK LESNAR!"

Brock mops the ring with the jobbers, finishing with F5s for both guys. Brock stacks Bagwell on top of Anton and pins them with one foot at 2:05.

LG: "Here is your winner, BROCK LESNAR!"

Paul E. takes the mic.

PAUL E: "Now, the Dangerous Alliance has arrived in the JWL. Dusty's Dream Team, look at the two losers here in the ring. Look at them because this is your future. The Dangerous Alliance will destroy Dusty's Dream Team. Once we've accomplished that, we will take over the entire JWL!"

911 enters the ring and chokeslams Bagwell and Anton at the same time. Then does it two more times for fun.

Dusty's Dream Team (Dusty, the Nasty Boys, Crush and the One Man Gang) run out to brawl with Brock and 911. The World's Greatest Tag Team run in and join their DA stablemates in the brawl, until refs and security are able to separate them.

("Wreck" plays, bringing out Commissioner Foley)

Crowd pops.

FOLEY: "Paul E., you and I go back a long way together. However, since I am the Commissioner, I am not going to be playing favorites with anyone here. So, next week, we will see the first ever sanctioned contest between the Dangerous Alliance and Dusty's Dream Team, when the World's Greatest Tag Team takes on the Nasty Boys, RIGHT HERE IN PITTSBURGH, PA! (Thumbs up, cheap pop.) That's all for now folks. Have a nice day."

("Wreck" plays, and Foley leaves)

JR: "Mah gawd, what an announcement! Haas and Benjamin vs. the Nasty Boys NEXT WEEK!"

LG: "And his opponent, representing the Hardcore Alliance, from Buffalo, NY, weighing in at 187 lbs., MIKEY WHIPWRECK!"

Mikey brings plunder to the ring with him.

Mikey and DDP have a good garbagy brawl with a mix of wrestling and plunder. DDP keeps knocking Mikey down and Mikey keeps coming back. Finally, Mikey BLASTS DDP with a chairshot, rolls him into the ring, and hits a moonsault for the pin at 10:00.

LG: "Here is your winner, MIKEY WHIPWRECK!"

Crowd boos.

The Dudleys enter the ring. Bubba takes the mic from Lilian, insults everyone in the audience, and hands the mic back to Lilian.

(The Faces of Fear's music plays)

Crowd cheers.

LG: "And their opponents, being led to the ring by 'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan and representing the Dungeon of Doom, at a total combined weight of 610 lbs., from the Kingdom of Tonga, MENG and THE BARBARIAN, the JWL World Tag Team Champions, THE FACES OF FEAR!"

The FOF and the Dudleys have a stiff, hard-hitting, vicious match with a lot of back-and-forth action. Eventually, Meng takes control and gets the Tongan Death Grip on D-Von to retain at 10:00.

LG: "Here are your winners, and still the JWL World Tag Team Champions, THE FACES OF FEAR!"

The main lights go down, and some eerie red and green lights come on instead.

LG: "And his opponent, from Parts Unknown, weighing in at 220 lbs., making his JWL debut, this is THE STRANGER!"

The Stranger walks slowly to the ring as the colored lights follow him. HHH isn't sure how to respond to this unusual entrance.

The Stranger attacks to start with a mixture of martial arts and aerial offense, taking HHH off guard. HHH responds with his usual knees and neckbreakers. However, the Stranger keeps kicking out. HHH clotheslines the Stranger and hits the spinebuster. Stranger kicks out at 1. HHH gets mad and hits a big knee to the head and hits the Pedigree, but Stranger gets up like nothing happened. HHH looks spooked and appears to be unsure what to do next. This allows the Stranger to crush HHH with some hard suplexes and finishes with the BURNING HAMMER for the pin at 12:00.

LG: "Here is your winner, THE STRANGER!"
