FGA'S ANNUAL MEETING 2001 PHOTOS

These are a few random photos from the 27th Annual Meeting of the Florida Greyhound Association held in Hollywood, Florida in May. The event was co-hosted by the South Florida Greyhound Association, Terry Haber, president.

Two of the Industry's finest

Carrol Blair from West Memphis, Arkansas presented former NGA President Dutch Koerner an "Appreciation Plaque" from the Arkansas Greyhound Association during the business meeting on Sunday.

Carroll and Dutch have been long time greyhound friends and both have been champions of the causes of greyhound people everywhere.

Guest Speaker Attorney Andrew Siket of Naples, Florida is shown left with Dutch Koerner, honoree, Jack Cory, FGA/NGA Chief Lobbyist and Charles Marriott, NGA President and FGA Board Member.

Mr. Siket also serves as legal counsel to the Florida Greyhound Association.

Dutch Koerner Appreciation Race

Abita Sasquatch won the Dutch Koerner Appreciation race held at Hollywood Greyhound Park. At the presentation (left to right) Director of Racing Aldo Leone, BGA President Charles Marriott, Racing Secretary Garry Duell, kennel owner James Blanchard, Dutch Koerner, Terry Haber, SFGA President, FGA President Michael Labun, trainer Ralph Calla, Florida Senator Steve Geller, Lobbyist Jack Cory and the lead out. This was Race 12 of the evening.

Race 10 was the "Dutch Bahama Memorial Race." Winner was On Line Kennel. The race was in honor of Mr. Koerner's super dog Butch Bahama, which is probably one of the finest all-time studs in America.
