My 46 year old eyes could read the digital display as 5:43, but the seconds, being smaller, were still out of focus. After a few seconds, my eyes focused, and I saw the time as 5:43.21. As I saw that, the Holy Spirit said “Countdown”.
I then set down to figure out exactly what I might be counting down to. My first attempt looked like this:

Either way, the layout of a countdown from 5 down to zero, counting down from 11/5/03 at 5:43 A.M., gets one close to or directly on to November 11, 2003. Marheshvan 17, the anniversary date of the flood of Noah, begins at sundown on November 11.
And so, I have now received confirmation of this date, November 11 (Marheshvan 17), being a day to watch. For what to expect on that date, I am not quite sure. Someone has already written of having received such an alert from the Lord regarding that date in response to praying about asteroids/comets/meteors and the great flood.
I was told by the Lord to walk very carefully in this hour, with respect to what I post and write. I must say nothing more, nor less, than what the Lord says, so I prayed about it yesterday morning, and held it, waiting for the Lord to speak.
When I arrived at my office desk at about noon on Wednesday, 11/5, I found an email waiting for me from Randy McKee, a prophet from Oregon. In that message, he wrote the following:
“Several weeks ago I kept being drawn to the clock at 5:55; both AM and PM. Five is the number signifying God’s grace. Three fives; God’s Divine Grace? A few days ago, I began seeing 5:05; I took this to mean a literal count-down of the grace period.”
I was very busy yesterday, and I did not have any time to post my word regarding the “countdown”. I remembered and read about a previous countdown word that I had received, and had written about back in May of 2003. During that time, Pastor Hinton from Kentucky had prophesied about an 8.8 earthquake to occur along the New Madrid Fault on May 7, 2003. I received a “countdown” word that pointed at that date too, but I was not at all certain what would occur. No earthquake occurred, but a record number of tornados hit the New Madrid Seismic Zone during the week that began on May 7, 2003.
Last night, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw my father, Leonard Bening, as he appeared in the 1960’s. He used to love to make a big show. He wore very expensive, custom suits and drove huge Cadillac Eldorado automobiles. Those were literal land yachts for those of you who remember them. They had 500 cubic inch V8 engines. My dad had a solid red one, with a white leather interior. During that time, he was building his empire with borrowed money, and he used to say that he had to dress like this and drive like this because he didn’t have the money, but he needed to look like he had it, so the banks would lend him money for his projects. Later on, when he had built an empire of many millions of dollars, he wore comfortable clothes and drove a Dodge Conversion Van. He no longer needed to put on the big show.
So, this morning, I arrived at my desk, and made the following discoveries:
1) The solar flare of Tuesday, 11/4/2003, was the largest in history: measured at X28
2) A lunar eclipse will produce a blood red moon on Saturday, 11//8/2003
3) November is the time of the Leonid Meteor Storm. Leonid is a variant of my father’s name: Leonard.
Through research, I note that the Leonid Meteors result from the annual passing of Comet 55P Tuttel-Temple through the orbital plane of Earth. There, we have another significant match: the numbers “55P” in that comet name with the numbers that Prophet Randy McKee reports receiving in association with his own spiritual “countdown”. He sees a literal countdown in the grace period. Apparently, in his countdown, 5:55 has counted down to 5:05. That is three “fives”, reduced to two “fives”. I see two “fives” also in this Comet name. Perhaps, we are to infer that while grace is “counting down”, we still have some remaining? Perhaps! I guess I’ll rename Comet 55P as Comet 55Perhaps.
Could we be looking at something like my May, 2003 countdown? Could we be expecting asteroids and great floods, and receive something else in the near term? Questions and questions! The Lord told me once: Stephen, you have many questions!
And so, I am left with a question: Will Leonid make a big show this month? In 1833, 240,000 meteors were seen in a one hour period, and people thought the world was coming to an end. What exactly are we counting down to on November 11? The Lord continues to tantalize me, and draw me nearer.
I am running hard after Him. Are you?
We prophesy in part, and we see darkly, as if we were looking through a glass. Oh how I wish I knew exactly what the future holds, and when everything is going to occur, but I take comfort in knowing WHO holds the future. There are many signs heralding His soon return. More than I ever remember seeing.
Randy McKee just wrote me again:
“Yesterday much of the day I spent in tears before the Lord; praying and interceding. The Lord gives us different perspectives at different times. Today I awoke with a joy in my heart; for I know that I know; that my Lord's return is so very near. The door of His return is opening! Today I am not viewing things from the perspective of a pastor or prophet; but from the excited safe place of a well loved son. He is so close I can feel His breath upon me!” says prophet Randy. Amen Randy Amen!
This morning, I felt Him very near too when I was praying, and yes, I was in tears too.
Get ready and stay ready.
