TODAY'S WORD
DISRUPTION The Lord spoke this word to my spirit after prayer this morning, and I reflected how the recent series of natural disasters that have occurred in the world during September and October may be characterized by that one word.

Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma killed thousands, but millions of lives have been disrupted. Millions have been chased from their homes, have lost their jobs and have been inconvenienced in a host of other ways. Around the world, the earthquake in Pakistan was one of the worst on record. Floods have struck many places, with mudslides. Strong earthquakes have occurred in other places as well. Once again, thousands were killed but millions of lives were disrupted.

God spoke through the prophet Haggai that a time would come when everything that could be shaken would be shaken: both in the heavens and in the earth. If you are killed in a disaster, you have had something happen that is substantially greater than a "shaking". It seems that the disruption of every day life is the result that we might expect from a shaking.

Concurrent with these shakings in the Earth, God said there would be shakings in the heavens. I have seen people whom I thought were strong in the Lord, and suddenly, they are drifting, writing harsh words, failing to discern between truth and falsehood, wrongfully accusing others and drifting into false doctrines. I have seen others rising up with false visions and false words, who are totally out of order. These give no honor to whom it is due, and despise governments.

I evacuated Florida two days before the impact of hurricane Wilma and I have been staying at my mother's home in Illinois for ten days. During that time, we have had to adjust and there have been stresses of life as anyone might expect. Also, running concurrent with all of this, we have had several situations flare up in Watchmen Prophets Assembly that have resulted in additional burdens.

Right now, there are many, many burdens of prayer for people, situations, finances, ministry, future forthcoming decisions, prophecies near unto fulfillment and other things. I have found that my previous quantity of prayer has not been sufficient to relieve myself of these burdens. When we do not cast our burdens unto the Lord, they weigh us down, and we experience heaviness, discouragement and depression.

So, I would advise all of you who are experiencing similar things to consider your prioritization of secret prayer. You may need to add one or two additional times of prayer during the day to function effectively during these disrupted times. We tend to be creatures of habit, and your established habitual pattern may not be enough. Remember to continue to lift these burdens unto God, and that you should not faint or give up.

I have been away from home for ten days, and we are not on vacation, I assure you. Every item of my emergency preparedness equipment and supplies are with me, in the car. I cannot be at all certain that I will be returning to Florida.

We will be starting a meeting in Monteagle, Tennessee next Friday. I will travel there, again, with all of my preparedness gear. In short, we must be ready for any type of disruption, for this is the hour of great shakings.

In your preparedness efforts, do not forget your greatest preparedness supply: secret prayer unto a loving God. Remember to pray sufficiently so that you are not weighed down by the cares of this life.

The prophesied events are to occur soon, as men interpret that word.
