Yesterday, I had just finished working on a brief reply to an article that Mary Easterling had posted to WPA. I could not linger, for I had to be on the road South to Hollywood, FL.
Still fresh on my mind was the harshness and severity of what I had written: that the storm to come will be more severe and last longer than anyone expects. While I drove in the quiet car, my mind drifted onto the subject of my own personal seven years of tribulation that lasted from 12/12/92 to 12/12/99. I began to talk to the Lord about what I had written. While I pondered those historical events in my own life, the Lord spoke:
“Son, you have asked me many questions about your second marriage over the years, and I said I would give you the answers someday. Today is the day for answers. I sent you as a sign to America. Your life is a sign to them, for just as you endured seven years of tribulation in your marriage, so shall America endure seven years of tribulation. As it was in your marriage, so shall it be in America.”
I then began to think about my second marriage, and how it might portend for the future of America. Previously, the Lord had told me that when my time of troubles had come to an end, that they would begin in earnest for everyone around me in America. My troubles abruptly came to an end on December 12, 1999, and there has been nothing but establishment and restoration at work in my life since that time. The Lord told me at that time, on December 5, 1999, that He had rebuked every evil spirit that was against me, and I have seen that manifested in every area of my life.
The most difficult part of that marriage was that my wife left me six separate times, for periods of from three months to eight months, each year from 1994 to the last year in 1999. Each time she left, there was despondency. Each time she returned, there was hope, only to be quickly followed by even greater despair and despondency. Some times she took the children, and the loneliness made things worse. Other times, she abandoned the children, and the work load was impossible for me. America’s tribulation shall be like this. It shall come in six waves. Each wave will be followed by a time when people will be encouraged that perhaps, the storm has ended, but it has not ended. It will rage again, and again and again. The up and down and up again, over and over, is far more emotionally debilitating that a simple over and done with storm of destruction.
With my second marriage, the Lord led me into it by word of prophecy and led me out of it by the same word. It will be that way with America’s storm, for it will begin by the word of the Lord and will not end by any intervention of man, but only by the word of the Lord.
I think that as I look back, the most difficult time of my personal seven years of tribulation was that, at the time, I did not know it would only last seven years. It dragged on for what seemed like an eternity. At times, the Lord would send me to regather my wife just as Hosea was sent to repurchase Gomer. During those times, I became encouraged that I might have victory in this, since the Lord was giving me the orders. Once, the Lord directed me to ACCOMPANY HIM to Jamaica to bring back my wife, and He really manifested His presence on the trip. Yet, it always ended in desolation, and that is the way it finally turned out as well. It was a time without future vision of what would be. It was a time of hope, thrashed mercilessly by despair, over and over again. So it will be in America.
The Lord said one more thing to me this morning, and I understand:
“Just as the prophetic experts in America have falsely added a seven year tribulation to my word, so I have added a seven year tribulation unto them, for the people have believed them, and have not believed my word.”
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Revelation 22:18-19
