The Holy Spirit quickened this to me this morning as I was meditating upon the commencement of the storm, or judgment, in the United States of America:
1 Peter 4:11-17
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth; that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on his behalf.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
We see this passage begins with a discussion as to ministry, and most specifically, to the speaking of the oracles of God. That refers in its purest sense to the prophetic word, which in many places, is referred to as the oracle of God. It ends with an announcement that when judgment begins, it begins with the house of God, in verse 17. So, judgment in America has begun at God's house. It seems fitting and proper that the commencement of the judgment in God's house should begin with the prophets.
It is also fitting then that it should commence with the situation that transpired in the United States prophetic last week. There was simply no way to judge that situation using logic, or religion or man's wisdom. Everything in that situation had to be spiritually appraised and weighed. Jesus had to be heard from. Judging by mere appearances failed those who tried it. On its face, that prophecy, and that prophet, appeared to be totally false. Spiritually speaking, that was not the case.
We were weighed in the balances last week.
Many years ago, the Lord gave me a dream, on a 4th of July, where all night long, I heard an invisible messenger speaking the numbers 4..17. I tested the messenger, and told him he had to leave if he would not acknowledge Jesus Christ incarnation in the flesh. He continued to speak.
As I prayed about it, the Lord told me it would have to do with the loss of American independence. Obviously, as a result of that dream, I have a heightened sensitivity to these numbers. One scriptural 4:17 address that I felt it most applied to was this one: 1 Peter 4:17. I also notice it and pay close attention wherever these numbers appear, especially in the word of God.
Now, we know the devil plays with numbers, but God uses them too. It requires discernment by the Holy Spirit.
There is an interesting 4:17 connection with the recent outbreak of tornados and great hail stones.
Strong, in his Greek dictionary, presents the alphabetized list of New Testament words. #417 is "anemos", or WIND
Strong's Hebrew dictionary does the same thing for the Old Testament words. #417 is "elgabiysh", or GREAT HAIL STONES
Since every jot, tittle and word is God breathed, the alphabeticly ordered positions of these words is God breathed as well, and the numbers paint for us a picture of the commencement of judgment upon God's house.
There is one other prominent 4:17 verse in scripture: It is the catching away verse of 1 Thessalonians.
