ARE YOU INCLINED TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT US?

Revised June 4, 2009

Money is required to do some forms of ministry. That is a simple fact, but what is a servant of the Lord to do? Shall I pervert the scripture as most others do in an attempt to manipulate you into a giving motivated by guilt or rule of law? God forbid!

Shall I take valuable radio time to beg listeners for money? I have opted not to do that. I think it sends a wrong message. I am dependent upon God for my supply, and I don't want for it to ever appear that I depend on human beings. I don't. The Holy Spirit is a giver. If you have been filled with the Holy Spirit, He will turn you into a radical giver.

Additionally, there has been much pressure to "sell" something on my websites to make money or to utilize my lists of emails and ministry contacts to run a network marketing scheme. I have viewed it as a compromise of my principles, and I have refused to do it. Some have pitched me with the idea that I might profit from the use of my websites as a conduit and receive payment for anything that might flow through paid links or pop-up ads on the site. Again, I have said no.

I have not even felt led to make an appeal on one of the main pages of this website. "Let God do it" has become my motto, so I felt led to explain our financial needs here on this page. You can find out more about our teachings about the current errors in church teachings about money at Tithing Law

If you have reached this page, it is because you already felt inclined to give to this ministry. So, give careful thought to that. God has been pushing you, and I have not pushed you, prodded you or begged of you in any way. You are here, at God's urging, to try to figure out what you are to do to obey HIM. I advise you to be careful to obey HIM. Here, I will plead my case.

I take no salary or remuneration for the work that I do for the Lord. I have utilized your donations to pay my personal expenses during those times when I have been on the foreign mission field. I work and support myself when I am in the United States. My goal is to hear my Master tell me that I have done well in the handling of the money that He has entrusted to me.

I use your donations to to support orphanages and for ministry travel. It seems that most people contribute to help the orphans when I go to Africa, but then the contributions dry up when I return home. This causes me great distress.

Short wave radio is a tremendous vehicle to reach people in far flung areas. I really would love to have five of our own transmitters, broadcasting 24 hours, seven days a week, on five different frequencies, and aimed to all of the inhabited continents of the world.

I have no idea what it would cost, but the ministry of Dr. Gene Scott and the Cathedral reach such an audience, and he is dead. They play messages recorded from his ministry long ago. I am still alive, and wish to reach that same audience with a fresh word of prophecy from God's throne. Can you help me?

Shortwave radio is not very well known in America. The potential audience is enormous. In January, Groupe France Telecom, the telecommunications arm of the French government, estimated that 2.5 billion people worldwide listen to shortwave radio on 1 billion receivers, with more than 200 million tuned in at any given moment.

"Shortwave," the agency concluded, "remains the only means of reaching a broad audience anywhere in the world."

Unlike the Internet, which requires an expensive computer, shortwave can be accessed with a $50 receiver almost anywhere — on the high seas, for instance, or in countries and regions where there is no Internet access or electricity.

You can read more about our future vision at this page: Vision

I can utilize an almost unlimited amount of money to fulfill the vision that I have, and to meet the needs that I have seen that are tremendous. God has given me a big vision.

Now, how can you obey God, and help the work?

Option 1: SENDING CHECKS TO ME PERSONALLY (not tax deductible)
Please send checks to
  • Stephen L. Bening
  • P.O. Box 182
  • Monteagle, TN 37356
  • 954-600-6381

I would prefer it, if you do not need a tax deduction, that you make checks payable to Stephen L. Bening. Why do I prefer it that way?

A gift of this type is not taxable to me in any way. I can use the money in any way I feel led of the Lord to do, and there are no restrictions placed on the use of it. I can donate it to churches or works outside of the United States without restriction. I also believe that giving in this way is more biblical, for it is possible for you to give and for no one else to find out about the matter.

Each individual in the United States may give up to $12,000 per person, per year, as a gift. A married couple may therefore give 24,000 per year. The gift is not taxable to the recipient, and the donor makes no report of the gift on their own tax return.

Once again, this type of gift is NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Gifts of greater than $12,000 ($24,000 joint) may be made, but the donor must file a gift tax return.
