Fear Factory is a truly driving force in industrial death
Now, if you dont know who Fear Factory, The Clay People, Static X, Slipknot, or Vision of Disorder are, I suggest you find out. Fear fActory has been playing industrial death/melodic metal since 1992. Their three core albums (i.e. Soul of a New Machine, Demanufacture, and Obsolete) are some of the best underground metal ever. If the only thing you've heard by them is "Cars", then you don't know what Fear Factory is about. Vision of Disorder came out with an album covering old tracks and new stuff this year called " For the Bleeders". They take Pantera's drive and throw a little hardcore punk and melodic voice into it and come straight up balls out. Static X is a band reminiscent of Zombie and Ministry. Combine the best characteristics of both and out comes Static X. The Clay People ( as well as Skinlab and Drown) are a band based out of Chicago's Slipdisc Records. They are industrial speed with a singer whose voice is more than incredible. Slipknot-- cant be described. A Dj, a sampler , three drummers, a wicked singer who really knows how to get the right tone-- its incrdible. |
