- Point 2. "Tastless argument."
After reading your page, it strikes me that even after the murderer was executed, that you obviously have found little "closure".
Proof that the death penalty does not work, that it does not provide some magical relief the day after the execution, the same wounds are still there, and no one has been resurrected. So what did you get ?
If this man had friends or family you got to make sure they suffered the same loss as you did, except they had to deal with it hanging over their heads like a cancer for years before it took place. If you got to witness it...You got to see him forced to die before a live audience...
Last meal, last words...really humiliate him,and his friends and family if they were there too...
Yet after all of this, it still takes up so much of your time that you feel it necessary to campaign to make sure that other people die, even setting up mock webpages of people sentenced to die who are trying to save their lives, or simply asking for a little human contact before they're killed....what kind of satisfaction would someone take in doing such a thing ? Does it somehow 'even the score' ? You said "NONE of the worlds religious leaders are the surviving family members of the victims of brutal and senceless murders."
What you mean is that none of the worlds religious leaders can understand the hate and anger that you feel as a result of the murder of a close family member. Thats true - they are not blinded by pain and strong emotion, but are looking at it from a philosophical, moral and ethical point of view. Sometimes that nots easy to do when its your family thats affected. If someone killed a close family member or loved one in our family, our initial response might be to want to hurt that person, to strike out and make them feel the same pain and grief that we are feeling for what they've done - however when the moment passes and logic and reason begin to settle in, I can't sanction taking someone's life because I would feel that I'd be nothing less that what they are.... By the way, just prior to our becoming involved in the fight against the death penalty, one of our friends was found dead in a dumpster, beaten and stabbed countless times. So we understand that anger for sure, though I am sure when its a family member its much, much more painful. You said "In as much as I vigorously persue my goal, I am sure you will persue yours."
What is your ultimate goal ? Ours is to end state murder / executions so that no one regardless of rank, position in society, serial killer or politician, that NO ONE can ever be justified in taking the life of another human being for any reason, EVER again. Over half the world has done this already, and we wait for the US to take its place and set an example for China, Cuba, and other countries that you condemn for their human rights abuses... Thanks for your message...

My goal is two fold; First, to see that justice in Florida continues on its progressive course to bring justice to those who murder, and two, to see to it that the public understands the execution of a judicial sentence is NOT murder. Regardless of your point of view that the Bush brothers are "serial killers" I support both of them in their political views. Murders in both Florida ans Texas are DETERRED by executing those killers who would otherwise find their way out of prison, and kill again. In the eyes of a murderer, he or she needs no "right" or "prerogative" to take the life of another, they just assume that right.
George Bush Jr, and Jeb Bush do not execute inmates. They have listened to the desires of the people of their respective states, an they have gone along with their constituent's wishes. Read the webpage again, and you will see that execution is NOT murder. I am familiar with the inmate's last meal, his last request, the hood over the face, all that. and I still stand on the belief that killers like Allen Davis, Pedro Medina,Judias Buenoano, Jessie Taferro, and the many others that you glorified, will NEVER kill again. THAT is the justice I seek.

In a letter I wrote to CCADP, I made some statements that I now publicly apologize for. The comments were unfair, and uncalled for. I reaize that CCADP has a mission in as much as I do,and I respect that. Again, my apologies to CCADP..
