(November 19, 2000) The Florida Everblades finished their four game road trip taking on the Pee Dee Pride. The Everblades mounted an unlikely comeback scoring five unanswered goals to defeat the Pride 6-4. David Valleries two goal and two assist performance overshadowed the natural hat trick by Dany Bousquet in the first period. The Everblades improve their record to 8-6-2, while the Pride slip to 7-8-0. The Everblades third period comeback began with David Valleries power play goal. Valleries deflected a wrist shot from Shane Belter to close the gap to 4-3. Matt Demarski also assisted on the goal by Valleries. Valleries scored his second of the night to tie the game at 4-4. Randy Copley fed Valleries a perfect pass and Valleries slipped the shot past Sandy Allan. Andy MacIntyre roofed a backhand that would prove to be game winner. Anthony Terzo assisted on MacIntyre’s seventh of the season. Matt Demarski closed out the scoring at 11:53 of the third with Valleries and Copley drawing the assists. The Everblades outshot the Pride 17 to 7 in the final frame and 42 to 35 for the game. Dany Bousquet was the story of the first period. Bousquet, just returned from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, didn’t skate onto the ice until after the game began. His impact was felt immediately scoring 5:00 into the period. Kevin Haupt and Trevor Demmons assisted on the power play goal. Bousquet scored his second of the period from Wes Goldie and Allan Sirois at 9:50 of the first period. Bousquet finished the natural hat trick with 2:21 remaining in the period. Goldie and Sirois again assisted on the Bousquet goal. Pee Dee outshot the Everblades 17 to 10 in the first period. In the second period Shane Belter beat Sandy Allan with a wrist shot from the right circle 5:52 into the second period cutting the Pee Dee lead to 3-1. Eric Naud banged a rebound past Bujar Amidovski to regain the three goal lead for the Pride. Matt Reid and Casey Kesselring assisted on the Naud goal. Tom Buckley closed out the second period scoring with his sixth goal of the season. Sean Blanchard and Bryce Macken assisted on the goal by Buckley. The Everblades outshot the Pride 15- to 11 in the second period.
