Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was founded January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. The founders sought to establish a new organization predicated on the precepts of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood. The trail blazed by the founders has been traversed by thousands of women dedicated to the emulation of the objectives and ideals of the Sorority.
Eta Alpha Zeta Chapter was chartered on November 20, 1967 in the City of Fort Myers, Florida. In the 34 years since its formation, the chapter has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving local high school graduates, administered programs in support of senior adults, and formed meaningful and longstanding partnerships with community organizations. The women of Eta Alpha Zeta are committed to being agents for positive change in the Fort Myers area and beyond. Sisterly Love and So Much More--Eta Alpha Zeta Chapter.
